-- Behringer VMX-300 or Stanton RM-3?
Behringer VMX-300 or Stanton RM-3?
I have to pick one of these mixers, if you were in such poistion which one will you pick and why?
Please help!
I'm really looking into the Behringer (cheap and is really good for the price). I was going to get the vestax but for $700...hmmz...if I spend that much I figure I go and drop the $$ on a pioneer djm600...
stanton RM3? hmm, doesnt exist, but you prolly mean: the SA3
Go for the Vmx300. It's decent quality and it has everything you need. If you buy this mixer, you wont regret it!
I'm looking at the Stanton RM3S too. It does exist but is discontinued so get it while some shops still have it. For the price I'm getting it.
The only thing I'm still wondering before actually ordering it is if the RM3S actually has eq kill switches... the pictures show (not focused in photos though) them but no write ups mention them either way. Anyone know one way or the other?
Yes, it does exist.
Well, I dunno about the kill switches. Although I'm 100% sure the Behringer has it!
anyway to find out? my sources are dried up. And I don't want the Behringer.
Get the Behringer, dont go buy some discontinued mixer, it was probably discontinued for a good reason.
I already ordered the Behringer VMX300, still haven't got it in the mail yet, but It loox to be quite the mixer!!...and It's cheap!!..well I got it from www.djmart.com ... our own TA salesman DJ Tranz formwarded me to it. It also made sense, b/c I tried my buddy's VMX200... one model earlier with only 2 channels, but not EQ kill toggles....it's a wikid mixer for the price. DIscontinued for a reason as for the stanton.
I only ever used the VMX-200 but I thought it was a top mixer.. I dunno about stanton mixers really, so id probably go with the behringer
Take the VMX300 ;]
yeah, Seems we do agree here
Well, I have another question,
I heard the Stanton's RM-3S knobs tend to go off easily, so most mixers have problems like these, is there anything wrong with Behringer mixers that I should know of before buying it?
Not that I'm aware of... But, you should watch out with the kill switches, they tend to jump up if you push them too hard. That's all that could be made a little better...
I have a Behringer DJX400, all the knobs are nice and secure.
I see, well thanks guys.
I think I've made my decision.
The RM3S is a very mediocre box. I started mixing on an RM3S and I dont miss it one bit... I have an a&h now, so im spoiled, but Id go with the behringer is I was you.
