track interpretations

forget the 'literal' meanings of the tracks..
this is where your interpretations go;
post..what you think a track means,
the way you interpret it..
taking into consideration the name,
the atmosphere it gives...the melody..

EDM is quite abstract,
interpret away.

go nuts.

Airwave - When Things Go Wrong

The title to me means, listen to this when things go wrong and you're feeling down since it has such a happy feel to it, itll take your mind off your problems

EDM = electronic dance music
sure, it does exist..
mambo, son, merengue...brazilian pagode, samba..that's all music made specifically for dancing, which fits the definition of 'dance music'
and, hell, i wouldn't want to refer to our genre simply as 'dance music'...
EDM; electronica, if you will.

taking it further apart...

00:00 --> 02:13 - things are going wrong, picture yourself sitting down, looking out the window, reflecting and completely submerged in deep thoughts.

02:14 --> 03:40 - youre thinking and even feeling sorry for yourself but then you realize it isn't AS bad as it seems.

03:41 --> 05:25 - trying to cheer yourself up, you look at its brighter side (of the problem that is) and look forward to tomorrow.

05:26 --> end - you smile when things go wrong

Airwave 3 - Escape From Nowhere

<--Escape the social routine!

Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto Remix)

If I interpret that song, I'd imagine myself in some dream of an oasis on a beachy area somewhere.

Ocleanlab - Sky Falls Down (AvB Remix)

I guess it means that the girl in the song will love her lover forever..until eternity, when the "sky falls down".

Good topic...there are A LOT of trance/electronica songs that can be interpreted.

momu - the dive

a more obvious reference to a swan dive cannot be.
the contrast of minor keys against the high octave of the vocals..
which, in turn say 'falling..', etc.
the beat, which could be interpreted as stressful, versus the calming sounds of that voice..
i can only relate those to the feeling of
the clashing between the breeze, the freedom of falling; the feeling of closure...and the events that led you there..

then it all ends, with a mournful melody...

try these:

james talk - eggs are cute
sasha - bloodlock/wavy gravy/cloud cuckoo/xpander
BT - somnambulist
petter - zen breakfast

just for the hell of suggesting
they're about as abstract as it gets.

King

Sasha = Wavy Gravy >> Gravity is heavier and less haevier in certain states of your mood/personal situation...

James Talk - Eggs are cute >> Reminds me of Japanese Tamacocchi or
what are they called....

BT - somnambulist >> It feels great to be loved (somnambulist is swedish for a sleepwalker...) guess you walk in your inner thoughts/deep dreams on the clouds, when you are loved...

it's also 'sleepwalker' in english..

'are we sleepwalking through our waking state or wake-walking through our dreams?'

nice.

Circ - Destroy She Said.
A fairytale gone sinister. The bad guys win not the other way around.
