Best DJ Software

What you all think is the best DJ mixing software? I used FruityLoops for a long time now and love it. Just wondering, are there any better?

hmmm since when did Fruityloops become a DJ Mixing software? I always thought it was a music producing software

anyway back to topic. you can try Atomix or Mixmeister to mix mp3s...but nothing beat the real thing ! TTs baby!

Ya, nothing is better than the real thing. But, I cant afford any of that as of now. Ok, whats the best music "producing" software? and im just starting out. Thats why im startinn with programs. Just to get the feel of some trance.

well, there isnt really a "best" music producing softwares. It's just up to you but you are on the right track with fruity loops to start putting together some tunes. Next, you can try out Reason. BTW, this anything music producing related should be posted in the Producing Forum. laterz

fruity loops is pretty good if ur startin out. when u want to use something more advanced, then do some research into cubase, logic and reason which are all excellent programs. if u want mixing software like u said before, i personally like traktor dj studio the best for live mixing, but mixmeister is pretty good too however, it isn't live mixing. When u get the cash definately buy turntables!!!

agreed. i however use mixvibes to live mix on my comp. it is pretty much like having 2 cdjs on your comp. it does not do anything that some of the other programs do to help you out such as automatically beatmatching the songs. i used to use comp before i had equipt but now that i have the hardware i cant tell you the last time i used my comp to mix.

Fruity loops to start off with to give you an idea of how thigns work. And then Reason next!

Reason is begining to own me...

Thanks guys, Im going to try to get some of these programs. Im more into Trance like Binary Finary and Hybrid's Out of Control etc... I know a good keyboard is important for stuff like that and a synth or, what else is there? Is a turntable really needid for that type of techno?

A turntable is used to play, not to produce
