Vancouver wins olympic bid
Well we got the olympics in 2010.....im ready to party already
2010 olympics sooooo nice! I was so happy to hear that Vancouver won, but seven years that seems like a long time from now. Although I am sure I will still like partying in seven years.
I hope the legacy that the olympics leave behind are a good one. Not debt and useless facilities.
Learn from calgary, follow our example, and recruit grade 6 kids to be volounteers in 2010.

wow..imagine how quick those tickets will disappear.
and how much they will draw from a scalper.
wow cash cow.
if you want to make some money, buy a whistler condo now, you'll be able to pay it off with the rent money from the games
Although I heard that they might be capping the amount that people can charge during the games.
if you want to sublet a place, cant you charge whatever you want?

I would make this sticky, but honestly, 2010 is a long ways away.
I dont understand how MTL blew it so big.
like a stadium with a roof that never works
here in calgary, weve got the best ice rink in the world(olympic Oval), one of the best bobseld tracks and ski jumps up @ Canada Olympic Park. And we did it all at budget.
its completly different story across the country.
This city would LOVE another olympics, MTL, I dont know if they would or not.
Best of luck to Van.
enjoy that road to whistler when its done.
Are Tickets for the hockey games on sale yet? I'll prolly be a year late buying againl....like w/ the salt lake games
good news but i'm actually quite surprised we got it.
I think in salt lake city the mens gold medal hockey tickets cost like 500 buxs.
I would totaly buy tixs to the gold medal round, you figure you got 7 years to save up
you could always buy a bunch and sell them for $2000 at the door.....hey that kinda sounds like a party at the plaza
congrats Van .. make Canada proud. all the best from TO ..
(and dun worry, we're not upset about not having a chance for 2012.. the competition looks disgustingly dirrrtty..)
