You can now also get Wavy Gravy as a polyphonic ringtone.

Damn it, it is exclusive to the bloody brits and it's 3 bloody pounds, not that i would mind paying for it

The ringtone is not THAT great though, and I LOVE wavy gravy. so it's kind of disappointing.

I don't get enough calls, but I do have a cellphone that can handle polymorphic sounds.

Someone needs to, err, share the ringtone. :/

lol I have a polymorphic cell phone. I need to have acid for it to work.

WOAH SHIT A TYPO OH MY FUCKING GOD THANK YOU FOR POINTING THAT OUT I MAY'VE GONE MY ENTIRE LIFE USING "POLYMORPHIC" INSTEAD OF "POLYPHONIC" (SEEING AS USE BOTH WORDS SO OFTEN)

Posted by AnGeLicK on Jul-03-2003 05:06:

dude calm down...i just thought it was funny that you were talking about shape changing ring tones

Posted by Bernd_Gradish on Jul-13-2003 13:33:

I want this ringtone! This is the first polyphonic ringtone to an electronic track which sounds good. DAMN

Posted by Yan on Jul-13-2003 13:38:

Eh...I don't really like it too much. Just isn't something I can imagine picking phone up to.

Posted by emul8or on Jul-13-2003 18:47:

unfortunately the midi instruments make it sound like lounge music. pity, because wavy gravy is such an amazing song

Posted by SuperFarStucker on Jul-13-2003 20:09:

ehh i think it sounds horrid. They need to make a cellular with low bitrate mp3 support ^^. The problem I suspect would be the juice used for decoding on such things and memory limitations (although i think the memory limitations on cellulars is more self imposed to drive market value than anything). Still would be sweet to hear your cell crank the wavy gravy riff out everytime somebody calls in its full glory.

In the world of ringtones, it sounds great. You can't expect something like what you would hear on a cd!

Since I'm not in the UK, I'll make do using the preview edit from the sasha website. Still sounds cool!

if your on sprint pcs
you can use

http://pcspix.com/index.html
to upload a midi and dl it to your phone

Posted by Alexandr on Jul-19-2003 08:44:

Its not fair! Being stuck in the US is no fun when it comes to the pathetic ringtone situation. The UK has tons of ringtone services.

With my phone I can upload plain ol' midi files to it that are under 64k, but I can't seem to find any good websites with midi files.

One ringtone I really wanted is the Paul van Dyk Connected clip from the hellomoto.com Moto Mixer... but that is only for Motorola phones. ugh.

Dancing Dude

well if I could upload it here at tranceaddict i would but there's no add file or something at this forum...

I want a polymorphic phone too.

Posted by Floorfiller on Sep-29-2004 15:17:

couldn't you just get a midi for it and program it yourself?

Posted by NiteMer on Sep-29-2004 15:19:

Considering my phone has a memo recorder on it and I can record 15 secs of anything, the polymorphic ringtones aren't of interest. I can just record Wavy Gravy straight in. I love how cell phones have now become toys.

It could be kinda annoying because you'll never now what shape will have your phone

But think of all the fun it would be, never knowing what your phone would sound like the next time someone calls! And then you could save the tones you like for future use, and and and...

well actually a phone can be polymorphic ..

2 types ..

1- the flip phone, because you are changing the width of the object by more than 100%.

2- the slide phones nokia and siemens .. those are tight .. i want one of those (if i have $200 )
