Party Hat Croatian night life

I was just wondering if there are any clubs and/or parties worth visiting in Croatia. Preferably trance, but anything electronic is just fine. We'll be staying close to Zadar (Ugljan actually) from July 13 till 25. I've been googling a bit but I can't seem to find much (except some Croatian pages which I don't understand at all).

Thanks in advance for any help

Peter

there is a disko called Blue 10km north of Zadar, shortly before the Island Vir. Caters more to the normal tourist crowd, although they pack a couple of trance tracks in, too. Some nights apparently more "underground" - check the homepage (I remember they had one).

In Zadar there are one or two clubs... playing trance/techno one night a week. Hmm... one of the names was something with James Bond or something in it... cant remember really.

Im going to Vir for visiting friends first week August - if you have new info, Ill be glad to hear it

Yeah, I don't really think a party report is in order, but anyway, here we go

We did find something that most local people we bothered said was "the biggest disco of both islands" (Pasman & Ugljan). It also happened to be within walking distance of our appartment so we were very happy. At least until we saw and heard "disco coco's": about 200 people capacity (probably less) and a bad mix of croatian pop music, some Scooter and some rock. It was full during the weekends but totally deserted during the week.

So we drove around on the entire islands and figured out that it was the only disco around.

In the end some of us hi-jacked a friends boat and went to the mainland. From what I heard, they did find a nice club, but sadly it was lacking in audience (about 10 people)

Luckely our good friend Lady Alcohol joined us on the trip, so we did have some good old-fashioned fun

The daytime activities made up for what we lacked at night, so all-in-all it was certainly a good holiday.

Posted by filoandperi on Sep-16-2003 22:52:

Hey...I know exactly where you were as my hometown of Sukosan is right across from ugljan but on the mainland. You definatly went to the wrong place if you wanted to go clubbing. The club scene is actually awesome in croatia if you go to the right places. You should have went to primosten and clubs like aurora, f2, and if you were in zadar gotham is pretty good. IMO croatia has one of the most potential scenes and will be like ibiza in 5-10 years without a doubt. There are tons of awesome clubs...shouldnt of went to a secluded island for mostly retired people if you wanted to have fun and hear some good music!

well ... you poor thing .... i guess know you will learn to appreciate what u have at home a (while it is almost impossible to have less than our neighbours have ) ... and in what period you were in croatia ? ... there was an almighty mtv valkana beach in august (with no sign of beach in a distance for about 1.5 kilometer )

I was in croatia this summer from July 20th- aug 22nd. I was born here in NY and thats where i live but I go to croatia every summer w my family and consider it a second home. Both my parents are croatian and i speak fluent, etc, etc. As for valkana beach...i dont know as ive never been there. There are some really really hot spots in Croatia. This club hacienda is packed with around 2 or 3 thousand people every night. I also forgot to mention the classic saturnos which has some crazy thurs/fri/sat nights with TONS of people. Very very very hot girls. Next time you guys go to croatia drop me a line and ill show you where the good times are!!!

Posted by kbaxter on Sep-17-2003 12:44:

Now you're all giving me good advice, when it's too late

We went in July and we mostly just wanted to relax and enjoy ourselfs, which we did. Clubbing was just an afterthought, because we sort of missed our weekly party nights a little

Posted by Stasha on Sep-17-2003 18:50:
