John'00'tommorow , Woooooo!!!
damn right.
I'd have been as excited as u r a few years ago...just don't like him anymore, plain boring shit...
The Essential mix from 2001, which is his golden year, is his best representation of himself as a DJ, he used to rock my world...
He is against mp3s n all that, the guy just doesn't get a fucking clue that many people who have descovered his name through internet are going to be at his gig tomorrow...
i saw joof 2 years ago at wemf, and he played too much boring prog....meh
but last summer in T.O...FUKKING NUTZ
hard ass, massive bombs.
he is wicked...and gets every crowd NUTZ
so yeah, i'm hyped for his set...as well, last time he played alot of goa, psy acid trance...gonna be nutz! tooo bad it's such a big venue, cause he really gets into the crowd..ya know he just LOVES trance
btw, anyone else going?
Solarstone is who I'm interested in seeing =)
no shit eh....solarstone, thats nutz
i can't wiat to see mr wiggles too....maybe if i get blasted enough i'll go in that popping comp..hehe
you gonna be there sean?
I've been waiting for John '00' Fleming to come back to Vancouver even since he rocked the Plaza at Twisted 2001.
I hope he does not disappoint us tomorrow night. =)
I have loves the last two episodes of his radio show.....fuck his is going to be the highlight of my year. Ive arrange to meet up with him, he put me on his guestlist because im writing for his "Longitude and Latitude" magazine. Fuck this is going to be awsome, no other Dj has ever influenced my musical taste more then him.

Ya a club would be way better to see him at but im going to take what i can get for the moment
aww are you gonna be sucking his cock backstage?? lmao!

no, but i think ill be sinking an icepick in your neck

I originally wasn't going to go due to my work schedule and the fact that it's a plaza party, but Rich from Solarstone wants a cd-copy of my track, so I figure it's better to give it in person than mail it to him =)

sketched.
I was absolutely blown away by John Flemming.
IMO he dropped the best set @ The Plaza in 2003- hands down.
I didn't recognize hardly any tracks that he played,,, although I went mental when he dropped the original mix of Lethal Industry. I was so impressed with him,,, that by the end of his set I was almost in tears. He was such a nice person and I got several records signed,,, it was truly a set that I will NEVER forget
I agree with Danny.
Fleming's set was absolutely SICK!! Easily the best set spun so far in 2003 at the Plaza.
From the first track to the last it was a journey of sound to remember.
Hope to see him come back to Vancouver for a 4 hour session sometime.
John was amazing. Awsome tracks, flawless mixing and even though he was playing when the sun was up he till had tons of interaction with the crowd. Who ever decided the timeslots should be fucking slapped for putting him on so laste. I mean he was SO much better then solarstone it would have been awsome to see him with a full crowd and without the sun shining. His set was definatly the best of the year, now lets hope he comes for a 4 hour set at a club...im thinking sonar would be awsome.
I recognized the first two tracks and the last two he played and a couple in the middle.
1: Powerplant - With or Without (Blackwatch mix) (what a 1st tune!!)
2: Progressa - Stockholm
9: Area - Definition of tekto (Silvio Ecomo Mix)
10: Nemo - Spacemaker
11: Tiesto - Lethal industry
18: Freeloader - Pure devotion - (Tukans F&W mix)
19: Blue Amzone - No other Love (Darren Tate's Remake)
Im suprised i didnt know more but he played really hard and that means tons of psy trance. Those are always a bitch to ID. I was waiting all night for him to play the new remake of "no other love" and he played it as an encore....fucked the crowd right up
And Danny's right John is like the nicest guy. Me and my buddy Dan hung out with him and his north american booking agent for a while....got to show them around the plaza. And yes they did laugh when they saw how people dance here. I think i remember john's agent doing a funny little impression of the vancity kick step
lol
man, i can imagine the plaza and its window walls in the morning
glad he played well, altho people must have been too fcked up too care :\
LOL.......yah too bad i missed out.
Does anybody else get imbarressed when talent comes to the plaza and see's the "gong" show of flaylers?
