Canadian Idol

They need their contestants to belt out some electronica vocals. Vocals are so underrated. Try singing Oakie's Southern Sun you heathens!~!

i am a little confused, what exactly do you mean by "electronica vocals"? I thought vocals where vocals no matter what song they were in... no?

If that's you in your avatar...I believe that'd be the only thing you'd ever get rejected from!

I personally think that Canadian Idol doesn't have a lot of talent to go on. I really don't like that show..although I must say has way better organization than Popstars--did anyone see this?? I caught the last show and Oh my...total disaster, it embarrassed me, which I'm not Canadian..but I live here. Man those people need to get someone with better talent than MadDog, that guy suckz as a host and better producers.
At least the host of Canadian Idol (mulrooney sp?) is a cutie.

how comes they dun hav a Canadian Idol where all the contestants are DJ's .. ?

Posted by Endlesswave on Jul-08-2003 03:58:

That would be ultra cool. A CAD Idol where everyone's a dj and they judge you on mixing ability, track selection and flow/building of the set.

I know one of the guys in the top 30 from school. He can be a nice guy, but most of the time he's actually an ass and a nuisance in class, as he doesn't let anyone concentrate with his stupid antics. Funny how they portray people on tv, as being the "perfect idols"...

apparently i read somewhere on Tribe.ca about this girl talking about her brother making the final 30 that's all ..

Posted by Turbonium on Jul-08-2003 04:42:

Well, which guy on the show is she referring to (name)?

Posted by erdega on Jul-08-2003 14:29:

this is another copy of an american show, but a very bleak copy and that american show on fox sucked big time. It's probably a good way for people/kids to feel involved but there is no talent there, it's too much fluff.
I want to see canadian version of bachelor or some other sleazy fox show, now that would be hilarious.

Well, as the producers of the show earn money from their client (the winner) selling records, a dj would not sell as much as a pop musician because well face it, there aren't a lot of ppl out there who buy vinyls let alone electronic music albums. So stop being a wiseass, Ryanm.

How many ppl out there in Canada and the rest of the world buy Vinyl compared to that of pop records .. ? i want some statistics here. sorry for being such a hard-ass but i just wanna be clear on this. on a side note: last time i heard, the turntable outsells the guitar in the US.. lemme see if i can find this link somewhere..
