Any difference between "Mix" and "Remix" ?

What's the difference?

e.g. DJ Spoke Mix vs. DJ Spoke Rmx

i thought about this a long time actually.

Look at these examples.

Astral Projection - Enlightened Evolution (Remix)
Subtle by Design - Sirius (DJ Tiesto Remix)
Some Crappy Song - Crap Song (DJ Crap vs. DJ Dick Lick Remix)

Delerium - Silence (DJ Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise Mix)
Accadia - Into the Dawn (Accadia Ambient Mix)
James Holden - A Break in the Clouds (Main Mix)

A "remix" is a mix done on another mix.

ex:
Echomen - Thru 2 You (Original Vocal Mix)
Echomen - Thru 2 You (Nova Scotia Concrete Remix)
