Hip Hop - For or Against?

I know TA is very much divided on the subject so I wanted to see whether opinion swayed more in favour or in opposition.

I personally like hip hop

But then there gets to be the difference between Rap and Hip-hop. For the purposes of this, we can assume they're the same thing. I despise the "Gangsta" shit, but there is some good stuff out there. I like Jurassic 5, Outkast, and The Streets. Altogether, it's really not my genre.

I actually like Hip Hop alot... as long as it is soulful and has a nice groove to it. This is of course very unusual in todays comercial hip hop scene.

The Roots are pretty decent and some Swedish stuff is also ok.

Fucken love it, listening to De La Souls 'Timeless' album at the moment. So many fucken sweet choons As long as its the real hiphop, then its good shit, I hate 9/10 of the commercial shit, but i can't deny that it's awesome to have fun with on a dancefloor
