Hmmm.. looks like something out of a haven holiday camp i think theyve gone a bit OTT.

Posted by magnasoma on Jul-09-2003 16:58:

mmmm cute lil barbie chairs in the ladies lavs. An even bigger reason for me to spend my whole night in there

Its funny....a refit that nobody wants! They could have done better jobs by far, but they are turning it into oceana in milton keynes! Its a fucking joke.....there was no problem with the industrial feel of the old republic. All this bollox about clubbing has evolved. If it has evolved into a cheap whores paradise, then things are very fucking wrong!

One word is needed to describe this refit, and one word only....GASH!

decors a tad on the pretentious side,
but the layout in general doesnt seem to have changed at all, looks like just a new lick of paint, carpet, & poncy chairs.

after giving it some thought i dont think itll change the trance nights at *Republic* that much, except for higher door prices & more wankers on coke. Oh, so maybe it will change them then.

I still prefer the industrial design of Republic, fits in much better with Trance music as opposed to this poncy R&B orientated blingbling decor.

yes but will they have a door? its a pretty standard feature, but yet clubs stil havent gotten to rips with the fact that cubicals need doors, madness.

Some mates were at uni round there, so went to visit em.

Posted by dj_mdma on Jul-10-2003 10:41:

ah right

They sometimes play "dance classics" in the main room later in the evening. admittedly, some of the tunes are good, Faithless- Insomnia is always a favourite and they played DJ Sakin and Friends - Protect your mind. Tunes like that always go down well
