I believe that the problem is that when installing, your comp is probably extracting the files too.. In every archive there is a index of files and their sizes. When the index is broken, so the files are there, but not all the sizes, then when it comes to extracting your probably see a little bigger per cents that 100%

that happend to my buffert when I was burning CDs before.
(And yes it did fail!)
