i was close to saying yes out of pity till i saw the " V " word. The vengaboys !!! The rest sounds cool but.

Posted by jax on Jan-02-2001 21:29:

I know what you mean.. but trust me, this one has NOTHING to do with that shitty vengaboys sound. The airscape remix doesn't even come close. Th eonly thing wrong with it that is was released under that name..

o.k. i believe you, might go and download it now to see what its like !

Peace

Good idea.

The song used to be Tiesto's floorfiller for some time last year.

cheers.

Yea,

Looks interesting, stick it up somewhere, maybe Swamper????.
Otherwise, if you find a place to host it, mention the link the boards somewhere, so we can get it.

you don't have to use the name "vengaboys". you can also use the name "danskie & delmundo". they're the once who wrote the song anyway.

jax, I'm downloading it now.
Will take about 14hrs (I've got 4 other downloads in the background).

I'll have a listen & post a response when it's down.

Allright,

Thanks.

hehe..downloadin it now

at 200+ kb/sec..

heard the vengaboyz, what seemz to be a loooooong time ago (year and half ago), when Jules was canning it left and right

let you know what I think about the mix as well

btw: what did you use to mix these trackz through?
tablez or software? aka analog or digital?

Posted by SYNthSRI on Jan-05-2001 20:05:

herez some constructive criticism for ya...

seemz like you used Mr. DJ Cool Edit Pro
A straight mix from track to track without much mixing effectz. Did you place each track together and lapped them over each other with Beat finder? Suggestion would be, make the trackz a bit smaller (avg. around 4 min. a track). Tweak the EQz a bit, fade in trackz in between progressionz of songz to give a teaser of whatz coming up...make some buildupz for couple of trackz by lowering EQz at certain sequencez and than "rushing" it up (raising the EQz) when the track has it natural build...

just couple suggestionz

Posted by SYNthSRI on Jan-05-2001 20:08:

just reading my own post...realized might be a bit confusing. Hell, if what I wrote made sense to you, woo woo, if not. IN a nutshell, just tweak the EQz a bit more, build the BASS up during buildupz, create pausez just before buildupz.

Question

I only got a 48Mb, 41min mix
and that was 100% of the download, so not quite sure what happened there.

But I'll have a listen when I wake up, going to sleep now.
Give me 11 / 12 hours orso.

Acyually I used SAW32 Plus ( or pro.. dunno ) and you are right. The big shortcoming of this software is it's inabilty to adjust EQ settings for a limited time of a track. It allows you only to adjust it for an entire track.

Maybe it's time to start using something else. I'm experienting a bit with live MP3 mixing, but I don't like any of the software packs that allow you to do it on one machine. ( Like pcdj, mixmeister, and all the other crap out there..) So I need two machines and at the moment I'm only one short..

Thanks for your reply though. Maybe later on I'll post one of my earlier mega mixes from a few years back. That one is a 60 minute mix with over 50 different tracks in it. I can tell you it took quite some time to get that one finished..

Not bad.
Quite a nice track selection.
Sometimes not the smoothest of mixing / transition between tracks. But I like the selection.

Yell, when you have another one.

King Jax!! Off subject, but lend a hand.

Jax:
I noticed on your post that you worked a Virtua Trancer track into the mix. Have you, by chance, ever come across the track "Third Sight". That thing slams, and I'm trying to find it on an album. Thanx for listening. Peace!
