Angry "DJ" Mystik

Must stop "producing" tracks.

...same with Scooter

Posted by fuct4less on Jul-13-2003 06:19:

which one? the one in san diego, or the one in europe?

Posted by moncster on Jul-13-2003 06:21:

The plagiarist

Posted by fuct4less on Jul-13-2003 06:26:

but they both bite off other peoples shit.

Posted by moncster on Jul-13-2003 06:28:

then they both must stop

Posted by fuct4less on Jul-13-2003 06:34:

they cant even mix, all their songs cut off half way through, as if it was randomly cut outta a live set... and they both spin cheese and happy hardcore and they both call it trance.

and the worst thing about it is that every fob and his dog listens to this guy just cuz its "asian" music (btw, im talking about the san diego one). and i hate his friends - dj epic and scooter

Posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 on Jul-13-2003 06:35:

Mystik puts his name on stuff and claims it his productions...at least Scooter reworks songs and shit like that.

Posted by fuct4less on Jul-13-2003 06:36:

but scooter is still an ass-sucking piece of shit, and you cant deny that.

Posted by moncster on Jul-13-2003 06:36:

so true. Same situation here in Northern California (Bay area)

Makes me want to kick their asses while blasting some real trance.

Or even worst Mystik sometimes speeds up the tempo and ruins a perfect track

dude, i was talking about the bay area! lol. its like that almost everywhere here in san jose, youre stuck with a bunch of 4-foot-tall wanna-be crips blasting out shit like that.

Posted by shao on Jul-13-2003 06:57:

I dislike DJ Mystik more than i dislike scooter...

Well, that's so he can claim it's his...fuck it up to where you can't reconize it then it sounds like a new track

yeah, he does annoying shit like that. i heard his mix to ayla - angel falls a while ago, and all he did was cut the song to where it was like two minutes long, and then he put some shitty ass synths in the breaks. biting little bitch!

i dare NOT listen to Mystik... and my friends say the same thing about him being "good"

Oh shit!

I think I have to change my DJ name!

I've called myself DJ Mystix for a couple of years.
I've never heard a set or tune by DJ Mystik, but judging by all the posts in this thread it wouldn't be worth it..

i probably know the most about DJ Mystik....

he was once hosted at www.hypnotika.org , which is a promotion site for asian DJs. None of the DJs on this website are very famous, although they are very local to the western USA.
In 1998, Alice Deejay came out with Better Off Alone and suddenly, every asian in SoCal was a "raver." And of course, who was the best DJ ever? DJ Mystik!
I remember going to my friends house and looking at my friend's Winamp and it was filled with tracks that DJ Mystik had actually RIPPED off completely. There was no edit or remix, it was the original song and it was PRODUCED by Dj Mystik.
At this point and time, i was also getting into electronic music (born from The Prodigy, and then getting into Ferry Corsten) and i remember Napster had plenty of tracks "by" DJ Mystik. Of course, i was like "wow, dj mystik makes a lot of songs." Every song on Napster was "DJ Mystik - XSong". So of course, i thought he was a fast and quality producer. WRONG
A couple of years ago, maybe 1-2, There was a thread about DJ Mystik and OMG, Dj Mystik got completely TRASHED. First off, his album stickers had every track looked like he had produced it. Now, looking back, i know he ripped of tracks like A/Deejay(better off alone), SystemF(Out of the blue), Rollergirl(EVERYTHING) and etc etc etc.
He even sped up or slowed down tracks and then put the tag as "XArtist - SongName (Dj Mystik Remix)
Today, i don't know where he is. He is no longer hosted at Hypnotika.org and i've never heard him release another CD. The last discussion about Dj Mystik here on Tranceaddict, we sent plenty of emails to artists that Dj Mystik had ripped off. My guess is that it worked and he stopped producing CDs. BRAVO!

argh.. but his being not famous again is a double edged sword. Now all the ignorant little newbies will think he's just "returning to the underground" or something like that.

Posted by moncster on Jul-13-2003 17:35:

Lol I don't know if this is OFN, but here

Posted by djSlain on Jul-13-2003 17:57:

DJ Jean > DJ Mystik

Posted by SlickT on Jul-13-2003 18:09:

he had a vinyl release(co-produced i think) that came out sometime last year. it was pretty much crap i too thought he was the shit a few years back...oh well we all make mistakes

Posted by arctic on Jul-13-2003 22:27:

I downloaded his stuff off ag when i was still into cheese etc, and i too thought he was good. It was only later that i realized that none of the songs were actually his.
