Haven't heard this mentioned but August the 2nd imo the world's greatest psy/goa outfit makes it's long awaited Sydney appearance.

Yes Astral Projection are coming. They are playing live and then both Avi and Lior are playing dj sets as well, and then playing at the after party also.

Ticket price includes entry to the after party and is a very reasonable $44. From inthemix and the other usual places.

I'm not going to comment on the venue but ive been assured by the promoter's that there will be an all out effort to transform said venue into something remarkable. Anyhow i drove 20 hours last year to melb when avi didn't even make it to aus so im going. Astrals truely are incredible and well worth the experience even if you don't know much about them.

I know a few people said they would go on friday night, but that may have been in the heat of the night.

Only 19 more sleeps.

Nervous has this been confirmed anywhere else? And where do we get tix. If the roumours are true and the duo are making an appearence in Sydney it will be well worth the effort to see them

Great news. I've just visited their web site and that confirmed they're coming here 2/8/2003. No location is given so whats Nervous saying is true; A Sydney only gig prolly!
They had it last year here in Melbourne (at least one of them cuz of fucked up Mid-East political scene) They were going to have a big out door event but scaled down to a little shitty club event with one of them. I hope Sydney would have a good one

We appreciate the issues you�ve raised and have considered them very carefully. This is the first time we have used this particular venue so this is valuable for us to know.
Keeping these concerns in mind, we can assure you that this venue WILL be transformed completely for this event.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with PARADOX PRODUCTIONS, but we've been involved in many large and very friendly events at a range of venues. Quality production is at the very top of our list (next to the music, of course!), so you can rest easy that you�ll be impressed with what you see on Level 2. It�s quite amazing.
With regards to the rooms � we will have a chill space but rest assured the main room will be where the music comes from. We�d rather keep the party together! There is basically an oval bar which opens out onto 2 large rooms, one of which has a divider. This will be removed to make one large main room and, on the other side of the bar, a chill space where there�ll be some other happenings � including a live and interactive hair show where people can get themselves freaked-up and have some fun. So the short answer is � no, there will be no disturbance from rooms of different music because there won�t be any.
Second concern � Astral Projection� Unless an �act of god� stops them � AP will DEFINTELY show. They are 100% booked and looking forward to the Aussie crowds.
Regardless of people�s opinions on the SHARK BAR as an overall venue, we can promise that the party production will be impressive � the Level 2 space is versatile and large and we have some big plans for it.
We hope that punters and fans of ASTRAL PROJECTION will be impressed with the huge amount of work we have put into this party. We are currently working to the absolute best of our ability within all production facets. We believe that the energy we�re attracting to this party will be the big decider�
