TA dinner with Armin in Chicago

I have just recieved and email from David Lewis, Armin's agent from the Netherlands. He says:

"We have not booked any flights yet, but I know Armin would love to have a gathering on August 30, 2003. Please let me know where the gathering will be and I will make sure he will turn up.

Best regards,
David Lewis"

So we need a general consensous (sp?) on where and what to eat. I know Kailya says pizza but what about everybody else? Also I think it is a good idea to limit the # of people going to make the gathering a little more intimate. Also for ease of reserving a table for a large group at a restraunt. I'm thinking 25 max? TA's let me know what you think on this. If you would like to go, please PM or email me.

Or I could talk to my friend who works at a nice restaurant downtown and see if he could get us some sort of deal ?

depending on the numbers, that chicago pizza grindery on clarke was absolutely wicked. really good stuff.

otherwise wherever everyone else wants to go. I'll survive price, location etc.

Great to see this is working out! I definitely think pizza is a very good idea. I dunno what the best place to go for it is though. But that is my suggestion also.

armin dinner meetup in Calgary, Canada

The way the meetup went was actually very little to do with me(besides the idea, place, and well...posting in #Armind, and on his forums) Another Member(Vanilla) called his N.american manager(David Brady), and set stuff up thru him. Dinner was well...I was late(work) and nobody actually ate dinner. Armin had a meeting w/ his manager, and the Benson and Hedges reps(who threw the party) and ate up there, while we waited in the private room.
Armin was really cool about it. He thinks we are amazing(TAs) and cant believe how devoted and knowledgeable we are about trance. The final count for how many showed was 15-20. Armin actually had more ??? for us than we did for him. I think metting him some other day would be different, he was exhausted after Sensation, flying across the world etc. Still, he signed all the autographs, took the pictures, listend to our jokes, and then during the show, egged us TAs on(taking up front stage, to scream, get our hands up, dance etc) He toasted to us, singled us out and all that sort of stuff. While we are all his fans, he is ours. For real. If he told Art he was interested, I bet he shows up. Make a thread, post on his forums, post in #armind during ASOT, see if Fox can msg him to let him know.

and if he comes out say Ja. I am the international Ja recruiter.

ja Trance is a collective of ppl in calgary who live trance. ja is a style of trance. Dutch epic makes you cry and orgasm all at the same time. we worship pvd, avb, Ferry and tiesto(of old). I think fox is the newest member, and if you meet up w/ Armin and say Ja, you too can be a member.
really its an inside joke from a local msg board, that turned into a banner, that turned into something cool.

I think meeting up w/ Armin, be it for drinks, dinner, or just to chill is a great idea. based on our meeting, he would definetly be interested.

if it's quality..why not?

remember how armin loved fellow TA Robert Nickson's remix of Rain of Emotion ...then played it on his ASOT and in some of his sets?

it all depends on how good u think ur track is!

Worst thing that could happen is he doesn't accept it. But atleast you tried. If it were me, I would. But then again, there is a place to send in your music to him.... So I mean yeah, do what you want!!! I would give it to him with a gift

I honestly think that Armin would enjoy a dinner at one of Chicago's famous pizza parlors. Gino's East is not far from the venue and is great pizza in my opinion.

I've email to Dave Lewis last time when AVB was in Chicago about meeting us up in the Lounge at Hancock but AVB would be on a tight schedule. So it never happen.

Dinner with AVB would be freakin sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! ! !

There is no reason why you can't join us. Seneca and I would like all that are planning to come and are able to make it to dinner, to PM Seneca. We are going to try and keep the number of people down to 25 if we can.. I mean otherwise, you can just arrive and get a table near us if anything, if the reservation is booked. We will want to know what you would like for dinner that night as soon as you know you can come and are on reservations with us. That way we can choose a nice place that everyone should enjoy!

I still say pizza hehe

hi all,

armin did not eat here in Miami, he won't have time for that I believe. it was him, maykel (manager) and the promoter (spundae). He came for 30 minutes to hang out with us and talk. He brought some promos for the people (about 10) and had some drinks too!

Just gather a nice amoount of people (around 20 would be nice) and it will be great! He really liked it here. We made it at TGI Fridays of South Beach.

Thank you for sharing what happened in Miami. We will find out if he has time to eat that night. I mean, he doesn't have to eat if he's not hungry ya know? We COULD force food down his throat.. Why did you go to Fridays!? Well, sounds like everyone had fun

RADU... i may have to go to both!

if it's just the CTA's, the dinner will be about 25 strong.

if it includes those crazy DTA'ers, then it will easily swell to 50+

i think the miami dinner was 25 strong
