Funny way to ask a girl out...

At what point does that thread become funny?? I read the first three pages (long before it became the 113-page moster it is now) and didn't really find it funny. The letter was pretty bad, but not really laughable, and I have got a varied sense of humour. So i'm gonna go for the Turkish Bazaar thread, even though I had no idea what it was about when it was made.
