Stama rocks!

All you Sydney people already know that, but the rest of OZ needs to know too.
I first caught him at Altitude.xmas at the Dendy & just got his latest demo. Stick this guy in there with the best of the up & comers including Strangis, Reemo, Julian Reynolds, Begic, Elemance, Brad Revell, Liquid M, JulesPLees, Miss Mel,and all the many others.
I'm happy coz after years of trance being in the doldrums there is so much talent out there for the future generation. Learn from the mistakes of the burnout, arrogant, up 'emselves, jaded past. Dont try & edumacate anyone or be rock stars, just PLay good choons (whether they are new, old or whateva) & the rest will follow.
Halcyon & 5AM have bright future's coz of you lot

I can see a bit of a joint tour in the future between Alt Productions and 5 AM. Bit of a Sydney Melbourne big event? *wink wink nudge nudge*

Matt Think bigger. Think AU wide!!!! I'm sure there's a dream in the pipelines. It may be a while off, but the guys (all of them), are quite smart. 1 more year I'd say till there is a AU wide banner...maybe less or longer, but it'll happen!


Mangler: What made you decided to post the thread? Stama's the man, just seems a bit weird creating a thread out of the blue(pun)

Being down here, I'm yet to see or hear Stama in action. So honest question - What makes him so good?

OK, an example. Had a little mix up @ mine 1 day, every1 had finished mixing, last track was playing (had say 1 min left)., stama rocks up, meets and greet every1, and we push him in2 mixing, he selects 1 of my tracks, beatmatched it and had a 30 second phrased mix that was better then any mix any of us had done all day.

Just little things like that :P

I think he's playing at the next Halcyon on August 1

Wade, i raised it coz not many people outside of Sydney have probably heard of him & he's good enough to be up there with the best of them. The mangulation cube and the Big Red Machine are probably better known and they dont even dj!!

... & hearing his new cd reminded me of how talented he is.

thanks for ur kind words of support mate all u guyz farking rawk! i havnt heard Miss Mel or JulesPLees or Beigc, but the rest farkin rule! glad to see the Trance scene in the southern states growing with such talent! i hope to soon travel down there to 5am & Halcyon and c what i'm really missing!

btw i got an email from a dude who read ur column in Melbourne who wants to be on my pulse show thanks mate!

Haha.. I was quite shocked to see a thread about me, it took me a second to acknowledge it!

Mangler, your a champ, thanks for the kind words, it means a lot dude!
To be honest, without people like you guys, Mangler, Wade, Solstice the Halcyon crew and etc.. it wouldn't be the same! The memories and experiences I have had are unbelievable, very surreal and far from what I have anticipated!

definately keent to hear him play next Halcyon, its been a while. Anyone know times yet??

As for what makes him, mixing is always tight, but track selection and his style are superb.

Seems to be receiving worthy recognition as of late which is always good.
