Sad Sad news for the world of trance.

i dont care if you never liked the style of flutlicht or shokk, but today marks a day of the possible loss of a great talent in the trance scene:

"Well, how to start... Im taking some time off. Its time for a change. Yeah, Im in love with those clichs. But actually it's true, I cancelled almost every queueing project this year. Perhaps I end up making something completely different. Then again I might just need a few months off in order to gain back interest in the whole trance/techno/dance/electronic-music thingy. Who knows. However, theres no guarantee for that. At the moment Im particularly working on some graphic/visual related stuff. Whats definite is that Im not going to continue the same musical style. It wasnt bad by any means. Ive just lost interest. I feel like starting something else, something new. So lets see where it takes me.

Marco / reverb

marco is up there as one of the producers i respect the most, he always managed to deliver that i loved and enoyed over the past few years. he was always very modest about his work but was always greatful for my compliments. maybe it was all to much and too young for him, not even 22 yet, all i know is i will miss his music and hope that claudio and dani can carry on the mantle without marco

At least he's strong enough to stop producing what he no longer stands behind.

not sure which if any of the guys will see this, but marco, dani, claudio, if you see this, keep your chins up, continue to work together if you can, and for Marco, good luck mate, and thank you for everything you've given us, your sounds have moved guys like me, ste and many others, and we want you back producing asap

Love Poundin' Sensation

It's always sad when a producer stops producing.

A real shame.Let's hope that Marco renews his energy in his time off and comes back with a bang soon.

Question Wait A Second

Gee ... what can I say. First of all, this Marco guy is NOT Marco V, right?? Because if it is Marco V, then I could go into a shock ... It's surprising, that after years of my search for dance & electronica music, with a collection over 10,000 MP3s, hundreds of CDs and videos, and I dont know what's the big deal about this "THING". I've never heard of those people!!1 I'll go check out and d/l these artists/songs whatever-stuff ... bla bla ..

Posted by mets4012 on Jul-17-2003 21:37:

omg no way this cant be happening? can it?

Marco = Reverb = 1/2 of Flutlicht & S.H.O.K.K. but does not = Marco V

Lightbulb Maybe It's A Conspiracy ...

Maybe some big asss jerking music label is pushing him out or forcing him out, so he decided to tell it like this. Because I don't think a man with love of this awesome music can after a few years just lose interest, thats bullcrap. I've been into dance music for many years now, listen to some at least 15 hours a week and I dont think I'll ever get sick or tired of it. Theres got to be some reason, not the bullcrap he said on this website. Or maybe it is a joke . This is just my theory.

Posted by Highlander on Jul-17-2003 21:51:

i predict he'll be reborn producing prog. beats

Um... well I think if anything it could be the labels pushing him by always wanting the same sound and not letting dance artist grow. I mean look at the mess Chicane got in awhile ago when he wanted to make different sounding stuff, the label rejected his album and was going to sue him for breech of contract or some bull. Anyway, I can see how someone might not want to keep producing the same sound.

Posted by rory21 on Jul-17-2003 21:56:

this is really sad. marco was the driving force and most of the talent behind flutlicht and shokk. he will be sorly missed. claudio and daniel were just the other half. if they do carry on producing, i hope they will be able to keep up the standard that marco has set...

big up to the man, hope he does well in whatever he chooses to do

I doubt that you have worked as hard and as long with producing and djing as Marco has.
