Good Download Managers - Here's what I use. And you?

I use Download Mage (www.dlmage.com)

It's the best I've seen. Reliable, nice, very easy-to-use.
And, it does NOT have the stupid spyware/ad/banner shit like Gozilla.

btw, what do y'all use?

I usually use Download Accellerator when i download from sites like download.com and fileplanet, but when i download from sites with minimal server space i use getright, cause i have to admit that using four logins is a little over the top, lol Makes me feel good about myself at least...

never really understood the purpose for download managers...maybe except for warez or movies, but then i rather ftp for stuff like that...plus it messes up the bandwith for everyone else and pisses the site owners off, right?...jp

don't need to bother with them programs anymore
...but i did use to use GetRight...actually it can still be used to supercharge cable 'cos it can break up downloads into segments and get each part from different ftp's...so u get more bandwidth!!!

I got cable so I don't use them alot. But when I do I use Download Accelerator Plus...that's when I'm in a hurry to get something LoL, download speeds up to 500k/s.

Acually it's important to have a dl manager when you use fast connection, like me, i use flashget but dl accelerator does it too: it divides the files to some parts and then download each parts at the same time which mean that you download the same file 5 times at the same time, that feature is very important on slow servers since they have bandwidth limit, so if you download, let's say- 20k/s with regular downloader, you'll do like 100k/s with a program.

Getright all the way My getright info shows that I have dlled 42,3gigs with it, and it has saved me from redlling 57 gigs. Now that is pretty intresting since I have only a 10gig HDD

I use gozilla, but ive heard that it tracks you over the net, adjusting your adds displayed, depending on what sites you visit, or some shit like that? it was in an article in the net guide or some magazine? i was told by someone else so not too sure.
but i have discovered if you are on a 56k moden and have a crappy speed (between 2-4kbps) just disconnect your modem and let it auto re connect, and it has always come back streaming in @ 4.8-7.2kbps

I also have cable, so I just DL straight... its usually works ok (sometimes it a little bitchy)... I'll have to try a program to see if what Fraggle said is true.. about "supercharging" my DLs... Sounds like it could save me a lot of time...
