Porn pop-ups?!
So there I was browing the forums when suddenly I was struck by doesens of Porn pop ups, anyone else had this problem?
Its really annoying if a Mod reads this please address this issue to Swamper.
Thanks in advance
I think this has more to do with spyware from pr0n-sites you've been visiting

OK Firstly I dont visit porn sites
secondly, shit youre right, I have a virus :\
scan with ad-aware
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fi...ileidx,1,00.asp
Amen to Ad-Aware. Then after you run that, make sure to run Norton Utitlites to fix up your registry. I ran it on my friends computer and he had over 900 objects...EEP!
I Have Ad-Aware for a long time, scanned and found no spyware, it was a virus called winpup32.exe
originated from the coockies in IE.

I used to get them all the time when at mp3 sites but not anymore!
get pop-up killer or use modzilla to browse as it stops pop-ups.
Strange I deleted the cookies but the pop ups are still popping up!
These pop ups don`t come from TA because:
1. You say there is more than one pop up. TA only has on popup.
2. The TA popup only comes from time to time.
3. The ad partners are checked and selected. It might happen that one slips trough from time to time, but when found it is removed. The chance is zero to none that there would be more than one porn popup on TA.
Yeah youre right, the problem is I have a Trojan.Adclicker virus, I tried to remove it and scanned with Ad-Aware and showed no Spyware or Viruses in Norton, but the pop ups keep comming back and I cant remove them...
What to do?!

Heh JP
The problem is that I dont want my parents thinking I'm entering porn sites and besides each time they pop its like 10 windows at once.
Its fucking annoying.

| Originally posted by S2K Hmm, from reading that page it would suggest that the popups aren't being caused by trojan.adclicker - Adclicker just auto opens banner ads.. not actually creates popups.. I'd try doing www.bitdefender.com online scan |
hmm, strange. you probably need to hack it out of the registry... a friend helped me get rid of a trojan that way before.. I'm not sure exactly how to do that myself though..
