Track Selection

hi. i know a big part of trance sets is track selection. and this is the area that i particualy suck in. i just dont have a clue what goes well with what. but i just did a mix, but b4 hand i put the songs into an order that i thought wasnt too bad. if you would give me feedback on it and how it could b improved i would apreachiate it.

BTW i have a VERY limited vinyl selection (this was all mixed with vinyl)

DJ Tiesto - Urban Train (Marc O'Tool Remix)
4 Strings - Diving (Hiver & Hammer Different Gear Remix)
Solar Stone - Solar Coaster (Midway Remix)
Coast To Coast - Searching
Robert Gitelman - Things To Say
DJ Tiesto - Suburban Train
Rusch & Murray - Epic (Above & Beyond Remix)
Delerium - Silence (DJ Tiesto In Search Of Sunrise Remix)
Matt Darey - Beautiful (Pulser Remix)
Lange - Drifting Away

i was quite impressed by my mixing this time. wasnt as shit as normal also i have ariving tomorow

Pulser - My Religion
System F - Spaceman (Matti Lamanamaamanamanaman Remix)
Ocean Lab - Clear Blue Water (System F Remix)

If you could tell me where about in my set you would put these three also it would be much apreachiated. i mite acually start gettin an idea of set building then.

thanks in advance

If you could post an actual link to the mix so that we can hear it, it'd be much more easier to help you out. A tracklist might do justice in terms of seeing your style of play and whatnot, but as for the actual critique of the mix, and actual listen-able demo is needed...I know you said you wanted to be reviewed on trackselection, but reveiwing the tracks is only half the step in critiquing trackselection...how you mix them makes all that much difference too!

When you only record when you want to record, then you will probably always screw up. Just record every time, even if its just a tape recorder to get used to it and eventually it will be just the same when you try to record a set.
