Unhappy Driving Test

I'm literally about to take my driving test and FUCK i'm nervous

Its a bit pointless cos none of you will have time to respond but wisdh me luck

Posted by irishclubbing on Jul-22-2003 15:24:

Well I hope it went well for ya!

I was real nervous each time I did it. You can guess from that last sentence I failed (twice). But it made me a better driver!

(yeh right!)

I passed it on my first try.. I simply knew what to do and what not.... Was nervous too though, and when my parallel parking test was so-so, I thought "damn, now im gonna fail"...

Come to the US, all you need to know in order to drive is which pedal is the accelerator, which is the decelerator, and how to turn the wheel.

Oh yea, and how to exchange liscence and insurance when you eventually hit another car.

my driving test was so easy i literally drove around the block once and parked in a parking spot

the cop asked me about a million questions about drinking and driving too

my driving test was real easy too.. just drove out and did down hill park, then did 3 point turn, and it was over. lol

I failed my test twice for VERY stupid reasons. I am a horrible driver the first time, I took a left turn in a right-hand turn lane. (I suppose that is illegal!) The second time, I kind of rolled up to a stoplight too far for the instructors liking. Cost me 25$ each time i failed it and I have been too lazy to go up and try again. The test I had to take was a lot harder than the ones you describe. You have to drive around town making all kinds of turns, across railroad tracks, then you have to drive on a highway for about 30 minutes (I didnt get that far though) The trick is simply to pay attention and dont break any laws and your done!

my test was easy. i left the parking lot, took a right, then a left, did a 3point turn(well more like 5 point turn) and returned back to the parking lot. the guy kinda got annoyed with me though cause he thought i was driving too slow. ha he should see how i drive now

well i lived in mississippi....

my driving test was with my physed teacher who volunteered to do drivers ed...after one of the afterschool classes i just drove a couple miles back home with her in the car. she signed some papers and that was it. then i just had to take the written test and pick up my lisense

oh...100 on the written test..first try : )

I had a hell of a time with the written portion of the test, but the actual driving was easy. The guy I had to take the test with was really cool, he told me to put my window up and turn the air on high...he even reclined his seat to get confortable They've done away with the 3 point turn here also, so it was just parallel park and some road driving.

Amazingly enough, I just got back from taking my drivers test 10 minutes ago.
Passed

It wasn't too tough, but I did have a little trouble parallel parking.

pretty much what i had to do, took me like 3 minutes a week ago. back up, 3-point turn, then drive around the block with all the stops and one-way sings and voila

This is very much like what the case is with me. Third time was a charm for the written, and now I'll be taking my driving test for a third time once I finally go for it again. Keep in mind, I'm almost 19. The thing is, I can't drive at my University for the first year (which is this coming year), so it is not a big rush to get a license.

I failed the written 2 times beacause the first time I blew it off thinking something like, well I'm smart so it can't be that hard... but it was for someone who knows next to nothing about cars and driving in general. The second time, it had all these drug questions and stuff about people riding on bikes which I didn't study since it seems stupid at the time to think that would be on a test. By the third time, the questions re-appeared from previous tests, and I remembered the answers. They are now taken on a computer and they give the answer where I live.

Then... the driving tests themselves. Also keep in mind my parents signed me up for hours upon hours of tests by private driving instructor against my will. So, I probably should have passed, but the reason I failed the first time is now always a funny "remember that time" moment. I drove the entire test with the emergency brake on. The whole time it was BEEP BEEP BEEPING and I had no idea what was going on. It was my instructor's car, and I never had to pull the thing before. So, when I pulled the brake apparently it didn't click and was not disengaged. I asked the test person what in the world was going on, and they said they never heard of the problem either... which was of course a lie. Ugh... I thought the car was breaking or needed oil or something. Then, the second time, I failed because I took too long to park. I gave up at that point (Spring 03).

WTF man, they can't do that. The instructors aren't supposed to trick you. You should have reported him and they probably would have passed you since you seemed to do everything else right.
