FInal Fantasy X

Okay, i just finished the game for the 2nd time.. i beat it when it fist came out, and i decided to play it again last week. Well all i have to say is how AMAZING this storyline really is, the first time i didtn catch it all, but this time through i understood EVERYTHING. This is truely the BEST storyline i have EVER seen from a video game. It nearly made me weep playing it even the 2nd time... what an amazing game. What do you guys think?

its a damn good game (all final fantasies are), but that random laugh scene between tidus and yuna in luca is quite disturbing

LOL i know what you mean, i was like whaaat... but still its funny

I played through it 3 times, and spent about 300+Hrs on it. Second game I've spent the most time playing(after Final Fantasy VII).

The story was pretty good. Just basically everything was good about the game. I even loved playing Blitzball! Even though that got tremendously easy after about 10 games or so. Only thing that really made me curse at the TV screen was the lightning bolt game(dodge 200 lightning bolts to get Lulu's Sigil, and the butterfly game(touch the different coloured butterflies to get Kimahri's Sigil).

I bet you can't wait for Final Fantasy X-II now eh? That's gonna rock!

Yeah it's great. I'm still have to defeat some Dark Eaons but there fucking HARD!! I didn't try it a long time though. I'm stuck on Dark Sheeva. But i will give a new try someday. I really like the song who was played in de love scene. It's Rikki - Suteki da ne if someone is interesting to download it. I did it and listen it a lot.

FF X-2 is a thing i really can't wait for.

Yes the soundtrack to that game was awesome! Yuna's song, and also the song during the love scence was great!!! Yes X-2 should be a great game, i really am just looking forward to see where the storyline goes, i hope Yuna finds Tidus

I saw pictures of Tidus en Yuna from FFX-2. It is no secret that he is coming back. They already say it a long time ago. And if you beat the game you also see it.

Yeah but at the end of the game, how do you know he was in the water in Spira, or if got transfered back 1000 years to where he oringally game from? And if hes still in Spira, how can he be alive if the fayths said he was ONLY a "dream" ??

Final Fantasy X is an amazing game but the no FF storyline will ever compare to FF VII

Didn't like FF10 much, they concentrated more on graphics rather than storyline. FF7 and FF8 still are the best for me, well the old 2d FFs are pretty nice too.

BUT the very best RPG ever is Xenogears, no RPG will ever beat this...EVER!

ff7 and 8 have people with round hands.. the graphics are bad.. I can't play it cause my eyes hurt so much... FFX might not have the best story line, but it is the best FFX overall..

The only thing I hated about 10 was you could build up your characters fairly quickly towards the end of the game fighting a cactuars in that arena, and you would be dealing 99,999 damage per hit. The end bosses were done very, very quickly. It was much much much easier than previous games.

Hell, I remember in 7 I had taken down Emerald and Ruby weapons, both were a bitch but my characters would destroy any takers. I love that game...

But I don't hear much about FF Tactics, that game is great too although a different style. I keep playing it about once a year, it's a great story and offers more of a challenge.

God now I wanna play again damnit!

with a strategy guide.. its a piece of cake.. but without one is a real challenge...

Nah...I find it to be one straight point-to-point game compared to the other FF's...

Okay this is my opinion. I dont think RPGs were meant to be "hard" thats not the point. I think the most important thing is the storyline in the game, its not to make the game hard, its to make it enjoyable.. kind of like watching a movie - but being able to create your character(s) how ever you want to.

Id have to strongly disagree. Story is indeed probably the most important aspect, but without some challenge to the battles it gets really old, fast. Ive played a lot of RPGs where I would just mash attack constantly, win a battle, heal, and repeat, saving my MP till I got to the boss who would provide a moderate challenge once I raped him with my best spells. Theres no strategy, or fun, in that. FF9 was great, but really pissed me off how easy the battles were, epsecially the bosses. Every time I came to a boss Id start to get my ass beat, and I would smile and think "this is gonna be a great fight;" then he would die after like 5 or 6 minutes, right when it was getting interesting. These characters are supposed to be fighting the ultimate battles against ancient evil creatures or whatnot, and are supposed to have some rough roads on the way there. If the battles are too easy, I cant relate to the characters and their struggle. Not to mention that easy battles are boring.

I fondly recall an excellent hour long fight vs Ghaleon at the end of Lunar: Silver Star Story. Or of pulling my hair out and holding my breath in those insanely hard battles in Breath of Fire 2. Or killing Zeal in Chrono Trigger (only took like 45 minutes). Or getting raped by Atma Weapon in FF3, only to have Sabin come out of nowhere with this Blitz that did like 4000 damage and kill him off (It was Tiger slash or something... no one, not even my ff3 fanatic friend ever saw that blitz again ).

Posted by NicklessGuy on Aug-06-2003 12:55:

Tiger Claw is the Sabin's ultimate attack, just like Locke's Mirager, Setzer's Red Card, Gogo's X-Meteo, and so on

I agree with that, challenge is what make the story and the game more enjoyable. Star Ocean 2 marked my memory as one of the hardest (and coolest, when played on the full action battle mode) games ever.

Phantasy Star 4 was very challanging too, veeery good game.
And many others

i just finished getting all the legendary weapons, and man that took awhile. the game has 130 hours on it. my last one was wakka casue i had to play so much blitz. and i got tidus and kimarihs thorugh luck ( i still cant even believe i did those games), and i had a gift for lulus lightning dodging casue ididnt fond that hard at all, just a lot of concentration. everybody elses were cake. and yes i love this game,

i think they did everything right. i played FF7 which was good, and couldnt really get into FF8. if u need a challenge in X then try and beat nemisis in the monstor arena, i havent even unlocked him, but i hear hes insane.

the nemisis was easy. just use everybody's ultamate weapons and build up your attack power until tidus, wakka, and auron deal about 40,000 damage per turn. he shouldnt be able to attack.

and as for ff8, you get into it if you try the deep sea lab. sidequest and fight the omega weapon in ultemicia's castle.
