Tracks that tell a whole story without saying a word
Mine Is:
Alpha Breed - Alien Arrival
I was at work tonight and I listened to this track and it honestly felt like it was telling me a story. And this is without any vocals in the track. I was wondering if you guys ever had the same experience and which track made you feel this way. Cause I'd like to collect some tracks like this. Thanks
im not sure if by saying "without saying a single word" you mean, no vocals, but this track his very minimal vocals and only a few are actual words, but since the first time i heard
chicane - saltwater
i felt like i was visualizing in my head a whole scenerio that played out as the song progressed
i dunno, maybe that track sucks, maybe its just me
Ayla - Angelfalls
Green Martian - Industry
DJ Tiesto - Urbain Train
Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (humate mix)
thats just 4 to name a few..i could name like hundreds more..almost every trance track to me tells a story.
I find that every trance song has it's own story...somtimes it might just be a scene or still image that you see when you listen to a song but for the most part i see a story unfold in every song...some short and some long....thats the beauty of trance...shows truly the power of music...my favorite has to be:
Paul van Dyk - Forbidden Fruit...
that song is amazing...from beginning to the end...the original version of course...jp
Lil' Louis - French Kiss (pretty old but good)
Damn...I was gonna say PvD's Forbidden Fruit so I gotta think of something else. Hmm...how about PvD's Words (For Love)? But the other replys are right...every trance song creates a story; you got the buildups as most stories do, the breaks, the intro, the ending, etc. Everytime you listen to a good trance song, you are listening to a beautiful story unfold before your eyes and that is what makes trance such an amazing thing.
very well put tranceDJ...you don't need the stimulants and all that other crap...just relax, enjoy, and feel the energy from the tracks...another favorite has to be:
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar ( three in one mix)
whew...another unbelievable story there...jp
This PVDS productions are that way....they tell a story with out any vocals....... like For An Angel,Another way, Pikes,Out there and back, face 2 face,avenue,etc...
Salt Tank "Eugina" - Few vocals and the vocals are meaningless but there is just something about the track that makes it so special!
Loveclub "The Journey" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix) - Few vocals and there's just something about the piano samples and the overall beautiful production of the track!
Bt & Paul van Dyk - Namistai is another such track. You can hear that a lot of work has been put into it
Anything by Hybrid does this for me. And the album is like a novel
try the new "Ralphine B - Massive". its at technodron. btw, for me at least, those long story telling type songs are what i classify as epic, im probably wrong though
oops its ralphie not ralphine, how'd that damn 'n' get in there
try: Evolution - The Experience Of Taking A Step Into Someones Dream
got to listen to this lying in your bed, with headphones, eyes closed.
Unbelievable. Trance.

The Original Mix of Chicane "Saltwater" is superb, but all the remixes suck!

any PvD track is tryin to tell a story.
take a listen to the album "Out here and back"
every song is like a chapter of the whole story.
PvD magic!

PvT
BT "Flaming June"
Sander Kleinenberg "My Lexicon"
Paul van Dyk "Forbidden Fruit"
Nice. I have some of these already.. I'll check out the ones I don't. Thanks guys!
Deffinetly:
Agnelli and Nelson - Embrace
When listening think of the name of the song..."Embrace" and just let your mind run free!
Rank1-Airwaves
like..90% of the non-vocal trance around..
BT's "Flaming June", or "Content", or "Godspeed", or Moby's "The sun never stops setting".
it's just the way they make U feel..so much energy transported into the listener..x-kul!
Lange - I Believe [Original Mix] - Actually any lange tune
