-- Splicing two mp3s together ?

Question

Hey

If I have 2 mp3's which are the 2 halfs of a live mix, how do I splice them together? i.e. join to create just one mp3?

I've heard of a program called mp3splitter, which can split & then bring back together, but can it just bring back together?

Thanks in advance

Open up a dos window and type

copy /b part1.mp3 + part2.mp3

After you're done part1.mp3 will have part2 attached to it.....

(the /b is needed so it copies it as a binary file as opposed to ascii which would fuck everything up)

Sigh.....
We always end up coming back to good ol' DOS.
It's such a pity Microsoft doesn't build OS's as good as they used to.

Thanks a lot Swamper, really appreciate it.
I'd never have thought of doing it like that.

It worked, kinda.

The hassle being as the track hits the point where the 2 where joined, there is a LOUD knock sound, almost like a "bass click", any way to avoid that?

why don't you try using mp3cutter i think swamper had it on this site before you can put mp3's together with no problems whatsoever
