Paul van Dyk played it in several Sets this year. It's my favourite summer tune

I don't think Armin's remix of ATRC is a good set opener. It actually doesn't sound like it fits anywhere in a set. Armin plays it as more of "hah, look what i have". He plays it at the beginning so there's less bad overlap with other songs. I like it a lot, but it seems more like something youd listen to by yourself.

Red pill, Blue pill.... uh, no. that also has no place in a set but I can't that I like it at all. You probably only think it belongs at the beginning of a set because Armin puts it there a lot?

When I saw the thread title, I thought of AR52 - Hibernation, also.

Halogen vs. Nash T- On A Bridge (Powerplant's Lions Gate rmx) is an awesome opener,,, not released yet though.

The best set opener ever IMO is:

Xstasia - Sweetness (Katcha Mix)

It's v old and not even trance, but it's a quality starter. Cant think of any good starters from this year, must be because of all that alcohol that's finally left my system...

I think this a killer tune to open up with. Although a CD-R promo came out in 2002, the official release will be in 2003 sometime so I also think DJ Danjo & Rob Styles - Aragon (Intro Mix) is monsterous to open up with too
