DJs Booked in LA & Cali...

hey ppl, can u guys list the names of the djs that came to LA SF & other major Cali cities in the past year ? i just wanna see the difference between Cali & NYC... it doesnt have to be like a 'complete' list or anything, i just want a get an idea... i ask this because i feel some djs that gets booked in LA or Cali often doesnt get booked in NYC at all and vice versa.. thanx

Too many to name.

A short list of just the past 2 months or so to SF only...

Tiesto, BT, Dave Seaman, PvD, Sasha, Sandra Collins, Howells, The Scumfrog, D:Fuse (twice), Oakenfold, DJ Dan, John Creamer, Stephane K, AvB....and that's just some of them - there's been quite a bit more.

better yet, let's name the DJs that have NOT been to LA/SF in the past year. I can only name a few: Danny Tenaglia, DJ Vibe, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler (was here last november)... any others?

DJ Vibe played here in SF at 1015 in March...

Here's a PARTIAL list of who has played at 1015 Folsom over the past...oh, you'll see...turns out someone started putting a list together just today. Note a lot of DJ's have started to choose to play at the new club around here, The Mezzanine, because it (supposedly) has the best sound system on the west coast and feels so underground...DJs like Sasha, Tiesto, and Creamer have played there in the past few months. BT, Sandra Collins, DJ Dan, and others have played at a club called Ruby Skye. And Mark Farina is played here a lot again....and Seb Fontaine plays at the Sno-Drift tomorrow night (although he's sucks as a DJ, he's a known name)

I'm only sorta jealous of NYC is becuase they are having one of the best DJ Duo live acts at the Arc on Aug 14th I think, Nu-NRG Live PA set! If I had the money, I would be there in an instant.

^^^DJs never get booked in NYC.. John Aquaviva used to come to Twilo opening on Hawtin nights and Timo Maas used to come to Twilo as well but not anymore.. i would love to see Max Graham and John Graham[Quivver] live in NYC.. as far as residents, club Arc has Picotto, Sander, DJ Remy & Saeed & Palash bi-monthly, Danny Howells monthly, and Danny Tenaglia weekly..

actually tek, if i may correct you:

Quivver spun at Vinyl during its 2 closing parties.

Ashley Casselle spun at Exit and will be spinning in NYC soon.

Max Graham spun at Centro.

John Acquaviva spun this past Thursday at De Le Guarda.

Parks & Wilson spun at Centro not too long ago.

As far as I know, Starecase, Cass, and Jerry Bonham haven't been booked in NYC.

im not gonna say your wrong, i trust your input 100%.. let me take back 'these djs NEVER get booked in nyc' then.. well my point was that they dont get booked as much as the usual big names.. and they all have potential to spin @ arc.. shit i had no idea Max Graham & Tilt came to Centro.. and Exshit, i dont even count as a venue.. its just a waste of big space filled with FOBS & tourists & highschool seniors..

MIKE should def. come to NYC... and Faithless, i could have sworn they were here somewhere.. either that, or it was just Sister Bliss..

shit, Agnelli & Nelson, DJ Tandu, and Simon Berry[Art of Trance] came to Cali... thats pretty healthy on the trance tip.. unlike NYC, where its all about the HYPED DJs... tiesto arim pvd.. repeat process..

Man i remember when i saw tiesto last november at 1015, what an awesome night. The mezzanine is sick, i saw tiesto there on june 6th and the sound system i thought it was awesome, youre like right there where the dj is, its so cool. Tiesto was shaking hands, it was awesome.
