Don't laugh: Scooter revival?!?
I just bought the new album from Scooter "We bring the noise" and actually theyre right this time. The album is harder, less MC, more catchy synths - basically somewhere in the neighbourhood of their debut album. So I was wondering: Have some of you heard this album, and what's your thoughts on it? On Scooter in general?
The reason I ask, is that I have this feeling that I'm pretty much the only one here that likes them, and I wonder why that is so?
I can't stand Scooter! I remember when my sister used to always play Scooter "Back In The UK" and how fucking annoying it was!
I LOOOVE scooters stuff!! expecially shit like "Cubic" and "Where do You go (i think thas what its called)"....
I'm waiting for a Dune revival!
Hardcore Vibes, Can't Stop Raving, Hand in Hand, Electric Heaven... LOL...
Actually the Talla 2XLC mix of 'Keep the Secret' is pretty good..
Scooter rule! I've been a fan since '96 and I have almost all their albums and singles
And Paul Wilson; Back In The UK is one of their best
Scooter - Ramp is great
I am going to check out that album.....
d00d, i became addicted in 1996 when i heard 'fire' and 'age of love' and now it evolved into today's trance scene for me. i have every single scooter's album, but almost none of the remixes. if you want the biggest fan of scooter on this messageboard, CKYTEP would be the man! he has everything ever released.
btw, we bring the noise was released this summer when no one was excepting it, caz they said scooter was dead and doesn't have enough fantasy for new sound. proving them wrong right there! the album is awesome and it does have a more trancey sound to it
if they could drop the lyrics and concentrate on their synths.
the have a chance. I've always liked their musuic, not that guys voice.
Yeah I have all the scooter albums as well, I just ordered a copy of "We Bring the Noise" a couple of days ago. Now I can't wait till the new one comes out "Push The Beat To This Jam - The Second Chapter"
as for the vocals, I always found them to be kind of silly. But than again there aren't a lot of electronic music that has intelligent lyrics in them. I fell in love with them in '95, that's how I actually got addicted on electronic music. (Yeah I know some of you will say well it is not electronic music, I don't give a shit, they started off with Happy Hardcore and they have evolved so much, they always keep their style up to date with what is popular. SEE MY QUOTE at the BOTTOM!)
Many of you probably don't even know that scooter was and is behind 'RATTY - Sunrise (Here I Am)'
I love them, and always will love them, they have been for me there ever since the start. They are my all time #1! No matter what! If you don't agree with me I don't really care because this is my opinion and you are entitled to your own! SEE MY QUOTE AT THE BOTTOM AGAIN!

i love dune!! i wish they would come back....scooter is great too, yes the corny lyrics suck but its ok..gets u hyped.
Me= Also a fanatic.
All that was said before is right, and the lyrics are just anotehr instrument, for me they are just the edge over other artists, and the music is really amazing to me...
A lot of peeps hate Scooter singles but like the instrumnetals...
Check out the club mix of "Ramp!" or "Aiii Shot the DJ (Bite the Bullet mix)" and have a taste

I have mixed opinions on the guy. Sometimes the words annoy me, other times they really work. Some songs seem "fake" to me, like they are trying to be really energetic but it isnt working and jsut sounding stupid. Or maybe its jsut the mood I'm in. He's got enough talent thoug. I like his music more then I dont like it.
Remember, Scooter are 3 guys (actually 4), so it's they, not him. Anyways, yes, something.

No, I meant Jens Thele, their manager..
oh, I c than you are absolutely right!
all ive got too say about this is that Age of Love was CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE and if they were capable of putting out a album that sad then theres no way in hell that im gonna listen to this next one.
Latez
My absolute favourite track from Scooter is Rhapsody in E, which was on their first album.... Most of what they made since then completely sucks a$$.
