How to get someone fired

First off, i'm not talking about me, i want to get someone else fired....real bad. so basically, i'm lookin for ideas
background: this guy's a dumbass and gets everyone to be sympathetic for him because he always seems to have good intentions, but still he fucks EVERYTHING up. so we all work at the town pool, he's a lifeguard, and i'm a lifeguard and cashier, i do a bit of both. he had enough warnings to demote him to a cashier, and they put me as a full time lifeguard. so now he's a cashier, and we don't trust him. It's gonna be painful sitting in the guardhouse on my break watching him fuck everything up that i'd done perfectly for 3 years. So he's probably gonna be fired in a week or two at the rate he's going, but i don't want to wait that long. And anyone i need from the pool would come in on this, we pretty much all don't like him, including my sis who's consession supervisor and a cashier.

And as a last bit, me and my sis are on great terms with both managers, they love us. so we figure if anyone's gonna do it, we have some breathing room. anyone got any ideas of things we could do and get away with?

make sure that you are keeping track of his cash drawer. if it's off by so much than that is reason for something.

man.. thats a really bad thing to do
like you don'T know the guy man.. imagine he's working to raise money for his studies or help his old poor folks to pay bills man...
don't f*ck his future...

I'm saying this cause.. for myself.. I'm working like a bitch (almost like a slave) to pay my studies.. and guess what.. helping my parents to pay the house and all the other stuff...
like I know that if it happen for me to not work for a month let say.. it would have major impact on my family's finance.

I say.. give him a chance man.. he'll get used to what he's doing and will be working better .. I'm pretty sure of that.. and instead of bashing him on wha he did wrong.. why not helping him so he'll learn from your experience.
unless he's stealing money or something !?! then just go talk to your superior about it.

Trying to get him fired is risking your own job man.. its the same thing as killing someone... when something wrong happens.. they will look for answers and find to true guilty one.

trust me, i know the type you're talkin about and he ain't one of em
he doesn't need the money, he got a 99 camry and didn't pay a dime
doesn't even pay for gas
he once said that subconsciously he might want to get fired
like i'm a really moral and decent man, and none of my friends know me to get at all angry unless things get out of hand
we've tried helping

he came in for training to be a cashier today and it was scheduled for 2 hours and so my sis starts showing him and he already was half shown once, so he just was all like 'yeah i know what i'm doing' and stopped paying attention after less than two minutes
so my sis had him tend the register for like a minute while she went to her locker, and he fucked up like the most basic transaction and didn't notice anything was wrong, acted as if everything's perfect
so if he does that for twelve hours at the register, then we end up 1000 dollars short
we've been giving him chances since the end of june
he had done enough stuff by mid july to get him fired, but we kept giving him more chances
its just not working
like the only moral dilemma i can think of is having your mother mad at him, but if she finally found out how much he fucks up, hopefully some change can be made

well in that case...

Are your managers spineless bastards? Because at my work they are, we have so many retards who don't pull their weight and not one of them has gotten fired. I'm so sick of it, they don't weed out the bad people and I'm so tired of having to help them out when they don't do their damn job. Screw them.

Even if you are in good with the managers though it could get you in trouble if it gets back to them that you were involved. Hopefully your managers have enough balls to fire the bastard soon enough...

I think it is pretty pathetic that you are trying to ruin something for someone else. Are you a manager or a boss? Sounds to me like you aren't. So trying to get people fired is not your responsibility, and I think you need to grow up! You sound like an immature, whiny ass brat, that isn't getting what he wants. So instead of letting things go the way they are meant to, you want to try and take it into your own hands to make YOURSELF happy. How selfish! What he does affects you in no way, so let him fuck things up if he wants to and then when the managers discover it, he gets booted on his own. My Gawd, how old are you? 14?! You are clearly not a moral and decent man, if you are trying to PLAN a way to get someone to lose their job. If something he is doing upsets or bothers you, talk to the manager about it in a polite and adult way, and then they can handle it. If he is meant to be fired, the managers can do it on their own.

Fuck, what the hell is wrong with people? The world is full of selfish assholes, that try and ruin what others have. I think you deserve a big kick in the ass for even posting this.

Kill his pet, behead it, stick it under his covers while he's asleep, attach a note onto it telling him to quit or the mafia will kill him.

wow
well #1 i mostly posted this as a way of venting, you know kinda the way when you hate someone and you and your pal talk about ways to embarass them and stuff
so yeah...i was expecting mbbe a lil criticism, but that damn harsh
i'm 17, and have been working here for 4 years
as of now, the managers and my sister are the only people higher than me
and i probably would've gone w/o posting, but then i saw this bit... "What he does affects you in no way"
i'll just take the liberty of knowing the situation a lot better than you do, no offense intended
lets just say that tomorrow, i'm working there for 12 hours and every damn minute i'll be within 10 yards of him. and also..its not just me that doesn't like him. i'm just the only one who got fucked over by his mistakes
so basically, i don't wanna actually get him fired myself, tho i wouldn't mind seein him leave

and please keep in mind, having morals doesn't mean giving everyone second chances till they get it right
i may not seem moral and decent to you, but lmme ask you this
if the most moral and decent person alive was put in a situation where he could no longer be happy 9/10 of the time, and it was because someone without morals that didn't give a shit about anything was ruining his life, would he sit there and let it happen? cause that'd be the moral thing, right?
somehow i doubt it, we can't all live like ghandi

take it easy.

there is nothing wrong with wanting to get someone fired. if they are not doing their work properly then they deserve it anyways.

I apologize for being harsh, but it really pissed me off when I read that you were trying to plan to get rid of this guy. It is very immoral of you to try and get him fired, no matter which way you look at it. I don't care what your excuse is.

If you truly have an issue with him, like I said, speak with your managers. If you are only one step below them, they will take what you say into serious consideration. Tell them how you feel, and get your sister to do it as well. If that doesn't change anything, then he will eventually get himself fired if he is such an awful employee. Don't be a prick and try to sabatoge him or whatever it is you would do to get him fired.

Again, my apologies for being harsh, I wasn't trying to be a bitch.

Omg I feel your pain!
I work at a pool too and I'm the cashier. Today I worked with the duumbest girl. I went over to the snack deck to get some food and told her to watch the front desk till I got back. Literally, like 1 minute later, she is walking past the snack deck telling me to watch it and going downstairs to the office. I yelled to her, "Who's watching the basket room?" and she just shrugged her shoulders. So, 2 minutes later, after I get my food, I go back to the front desk and find it completely empty. She didn't even leave a lifeguard in charge . Then she keep talking about how she wants to go swiming but can't get a suit. hehe, I just want to yell at her, "WE'RE NOT PAYING YOU TO SWIM!" Oh, and finally, her two younger sisters showed up today. They kept trying to get her wet so they would throw balls soaked with water into the room hitting everything but her. heh, I could go on and on about the people I work with so I'll end with how we got a lifeguard to quit last year.
None of the other lifeguards really liked this guy and at the end of the summer I think 2 of the 3 head guards left. So, to give the other guards experience, our manager would let a lifeguard be a head guard for a day. This kid went on and on about how he couldn't wait to be HG and it pissed alot of other lifeguards off. So, a couple guards had a talk with the manager and told him that they wouldn't guard for this kid and they thought he would do a bad job. The morning he was supposed to be HG our manager had a talk with him and told him he would be a normal guard that day. He freaked out, got really angry, and quit. We've never seen him since.

Posted by Yomofo on Aug-01-2003 07:02:

Btw, I've been working at the same pool for 4 summers now and I've only seen 2 people get fired. Both were for being late all the time and not getting subs when one guy went on vacation. I think pools are just too easy going, and no one really cares enough to fire someone just because they're not the best employee.

nah but seriously, it might be a good idea to complain to your boss, it makes you look bad. Only bitch about him if you have something concrete he has done.. like loosing 1000 ?! (this cant be right, he should go to jail for stupidity if that is the case)
anyways good luck

Woah, easy tiger!! Although you do have a point.

I think you should carry on letting him be an ass, so long as it doesnt reflect on you that is. All the while he's letting people pay with monopoly money or whatever, just makes you look like you're all the better at your job. The managers are sure to notice. Patience, my young padawan
