^^ I second that... STUPID ASS PROFs AND THEIR TESTS!!
Anyone got pics?
Btw, caught a glimpse on CBCtv... I SAW BOOOBIES! LOL
I saw lots of boobies on CBC... on stuff that was being RERUN lol
gotta love the lack of censorship up here
450,000 ppl in TO .. will trance ever do that here.. ??
10 years? 20? never ?!?
man serious that was a crazy site .. i wish i had gone ..
anyways .. funniest moment is when i heard this on the news:
"Justin Timberlake was forced to leave the stage due to bottles being thrown at him.."
heh i kinda feel sorry for the guy but still it juss sounded damnned funny!
I actually have an ounce of respect for Justin... he was at Love Parade
I saw this on TV too. Wish I coulda been there! AC/DC looked awesome. And I gotta hand it to a 60 year old dude like Mick Jaggar who can have such a great time and move like a 20 year old.
I love Justin. I can't believe that the people were so harsh to him. He was doing the concert to help Toronto and what then fuck does he get? He has two sold out concerts (where tix were $110) and he plays here for free and the asshole crowd was so mean. WTF?

Being tall never felt so damn good before in my life; except for when people wanted to fight me for standing infront of them
.
ACDC rocked. We got as far up to the front as we could for them which was both good and bad. Seeing everyone as far as the eye could see going nuts during the show was awesome. But the walk back to the porto potties was a nightmare, I've never had to pee so bad in my life; the climax was orgasmic!
Didn't wanna fight the crowd again for the Stones so we parked ourselves ontop of some portopotties by a screen, smoked a dube and enjoyed the show.
The only thing that could have made that better would have been better music. But unfortunetly the only place even close to that size is Dance Valley.. I hate you Nat
.
I went to the concert after work to arrive just as Justin was coming on. Yes I did see the people throw the bottles at him (he actually had to dodge from one of them)
I understand why the people in the front did it....I mean you have a line up of primarily rock groups and then throw in a pop artist, just seems a bit odd. As a result, those people were a bit distraught at the fact that Justin did in fact take the stage.
That said, it was a benefit concert and people should understand that all the artists except for the stones did this for free to help revitalize Toronto's Economy
Mick later in the show brought Justin back on to sing Miss You. And then something we thought we would never hear, Mick Jagger and the stones grooving to "cry me a river" - a bit of a confused look on people in the audience but none the less, very professional and respectful for the stones to do after what had happened.
The best pary of all is that Justin understood why what happened, happened, and he didn't regret being part of one of the biggest concerts ever.
AC/DC stole the show and had the crowd rocking, and the stones came on, but they were a bit too mellow for me. None the less very entertaining and Mick being 60 couldn't have been any more energetic. And Angus' Canadian boxer shorts were amazing.
Crowds were primarily friendly with the exception of a few people that got pissed off with people walking through "their" space. I dealt with them accordingly. Long food line ups, and even longer beer garden line up (approx. 3 hours at 6 pm)
Very organized all it all. I got home (downtown) in 50 minutes and I was near the front of the stage. Pretty decent if you ask me. I got on a Downsview station, with little to no problems. Very busy, but very patient crowds.
I'm glad I went, so that I can say...."remember when the stones came to T.O. to help the city recover from SARS, well I was there"
Toronto is the best city in the world and I was glad to be a part of Yesterday's event.
Thanks Toronto
Great concert!!
Got there around noon and I was blown away how big the stage was. I through down a blanket as close as I can get, I was right behind the middle big screen thing. After I got all my shit down I just decided to sleep and enjoy some of the music, I thought Sam Roberts was preatty jammin'! During my sleep, I had to start rollin up some "plantations" to get ready for The Guess Who.
After the Blues Brothers I decided to get some hot dogs, took me about an hour in line!!! That kinda pissed me off, and so did Mike Bullard, I really don't like that guy.
Got my dogs just in time for The Guess Who, so I ate them fast, and I sparked up just like everyone else around me. The Guess Who were amazing! American Woman was my highlight of the night. I though Rush did an awsome job too, I love listening to that drummer!
It is true, AC/DC did steal the show! They played all there hit songs and put on quite a show. The Rolling Stones were good, but, I could never get into that kind of music.
Overall, amazing time! and amzing music & bands! Thank God for Toronto!
all i can say is wow...that was alot of ppl...on TV
i can't imagine being stuck in traffic after the concert was done.
funny thing is the concerts purpose was to illustrate to the world that toronto is a safe and fun place to visit again, yet i didn't see n e other news outlets (internationally) cover it...perhaps a little mention, but nothing comprehensive.
oh well...at least a 425 000 ppl had fun
i had a pretty good time yesterday ( FREE TIX WOOT!) got there abotu 1, wiated about 5 minutes in line hahaha love it, found abit of empty space for our crew ( about 8 of us) we claimed it and guarded it pretty well for most of the day lol, everyone there was blazing which was sick, i ended up burning about like 10 times lol. i must have got lucky cuz for me to get from where i was sitting, to the washrooms, to the food tiecket place, to the food and back, took me less then 1 hour
all in all, decent day/night would have been better if i was more into rock
DAnce Valley/Sensation/Love PArade/Innercity/TRance Energy/Creamfields/Godskitchen/Gatecrasher/Impulze/Qontact/I Love Techno/etc. .. plz COME TO TORONTO !!
if 450,000 ppl in this city would come out to support electronic music .. the only thing preventing it from happening would be sheer prejudice by the government ..

Detailed review
My friend Mike and I came to gate 3, which is located on Sheppard and Chesswood) at around 1:30 and we were afraid that we'll end up standing 2-4 hours in line. We only waited for 20 minutes and then we were in Parc Downsview Park! We followed a crowed of 1000-5000 people and quickly made our way towards the inside of the park. After an odd 30 minutes of trying to plow our way towards the stage we came within 20-30 meters of it. La Chicane was playing at the time.
La Chicane
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a fairly good set. The lyrics were in French but it was fairly mellow (by trance standards) and nice to listen to. By that time Ive secured a nice sitting area and laid my blanket there. Ive sat and listened, as more and more people were making their way towards the stage. Once done the crowed applauded their efforts and waited
The Tea Party
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fairly nice set. I was sitting down and relaxing while they were on. People were still rolling in, and my once tidy blanket was beginning to be trampled on by the massive crowed.
The Flaming Lips
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fairly hippy set
. These guys had, what looked to me like, pokemon characters on stage, all wearing SARS masks
. I had to stand up at this point because the area near the stage was beginning to become too crowded, and people were giving me the evil eye
. The lead singer was blowing big ass balloon balls and throwing them into the crowed. Even though, there were enough beach balls bouncing off the top of peoples heads, this guys made the biggest balloon ball Ive ever seen.
Sass Jordan and Jeff Healey
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sass Jordan played a nice set. She was ok, but didnt leave much of an impression on me.
The Isley Brothers
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys have been around longer than the stones! They played very well. Great set overall. Very jazzy at some points
Blue Rodeo
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An ok set. It was pretty mellow as I remember.
Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Have Love Will Travel Revue
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was funny seeing these two perform. They were fairly good considering that they are both actors!
Justin Timberlake
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As was expected the crowed booed and flamed him. He almost got hit by a lemon at one point. Water bottles were flying at him. Apparently he is Canadian
The Guess Who (Canadas own!)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I must say that these guys rocked TO. They were awesome! Playing many classics such as
Guess Who - American Woman
Guess Who - Share the land
Guess Who - BTO's Taking Care of business
Everyone was going crazy when these guys were playing! After the set a Canadian Air Force jet flew over the crowed! Everyone was cheering and screaming!
Rush
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An awesome set. It was a bit difficult to hear the lead singer. They played.
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Rush - Closer to the Heart.
The crowed was going wild.
AC/DC
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys stole the show for me! They were simply AMAZING! Everyone was screaming! All the girls were taking off their bikinis! All 450,000 people were jumping!! Angus was keeping the crowed going with his never-ending breakdowns. They played
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
AC/DC - Shook me all night long
AC/DC - The Jack
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Rolling Stones
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An ok set. I was destroyed by AC/DC and I really wanted to get the hell out of Parc Downsview Park. They played
Stones - Satisfaction
Stones - Jumping Jack Flash
Stones - Don't Stop
Stones - Ruby Tuesday
Oh, the one track that really got me going was "Sympathy for the devil" written by Jagger performed in the movie "Interview with teh Vampire" by Guns'N'Roses!
Only one or two girls took their tops off for the Stones
Not as many when compared to the number that did it for AC/DC!
Overall Impression
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I came primarily to see the Stones, but I was blown away by the Guess Who, Rush, and AC/DC. I will never forget this experience of 450,000 people jumping to AC/DC. 192 Industrial/Club size speakers blowing the crowed away! All the craziness! The vibe was amazing! At the end of the show they had a pretty fireworks going too!
