Korg Electribe EA-1/ Hardware synths in general

well two questions...

Has anyone here ever used an electribe EA-1? if so, howd ya like it? what kind of stuff can u do with it? what are some bad parts about it? (im thinkin of buyin one)

second, how would you go about linking this, and other midi hardware, to ur computer, and using it in unison with software?

acatually i haven't tried the EA-1, but IMO id go for some phatter synths like Virus, Nord2 etc. buy them secondhand and i guess you'll get them about the same price as the Korg! (but hey if you like the Korg i ain't gonna diss ya)!

about you second Q! - what you need here is a midi interface for wirering all your synths in and out of the sequencer you use! you can get everything from 1/1 i/o to 8/8 i/o and even stack the 8/8 i/o racks to get totally something like 64/64 i/o ! guess that should do it! - if you need a good one take a look at Midiman interfaces...they're cheap and quite good!

if you have (semi)Pro soundcard i guess you'll also have 1/1 midi i/o on the card! - then you also need to do all the wirering with the outputs of your synths into a mixer or inputs on your soundcard!

guess that's about it!
