I'm browsing trought the board ... and everyday .. seems like someone new comes ... and he likes techno ??

Is the techno revolution that big ??

Will u all become technoadditc ( wich would be friggin better than tranceaddict :P )

Do u think that ... in the near future ... house will make a come back ?? ( I SOOOO HOPE SO ! )

by the sounds of it, you're not a trance fan....so why don't you get the fuck out of here then! God, I'm so sick of people coming on here and talking about house this and prog that and techno this. I don't mind those genres, but this site says TRANCEaddict.com!! Talk about house and techno fine, but it's kinda stupid when you come on TRANCEaddict and start bashing Trance and saying you wish techno and house would make a comeback!

Why don't you move on to a website that talks about house all the time? It's quite simple really.

haha technoaddict would be sweet. much better than house addict. Then again havnt heard many house sets so i cant really judge. trance is good at home for me but I would rather hear techno in a club. and for the most part most of the content here is trance so no need to complain yet.

no ones flaming nothing. its just that styles evolve and so do we.
theres nothing wwrong wit moving to other genrs than trance, in te end itsa all electronic
i think this board is TA just by name, its more like EMA (electronic music addict)

yes.....EMA might be true, but it was orignally ALL about trance. You have certain fucking snobs on here that think trance is cheese pish posh because they've moved into progressive house for example. And all they do is cut up Trance Dj's like Ferry, Tiesto, etc, etc. I'm so sick of that and I'd bet 50 bucks this thread eventually starts bashing trance.

Electronic community is supposed to stick together. I don't think Krinker was insulting the tranceaddicts he was only telling us what he thinks is happening. Hey I wouldnt mind a technoaddict because I will still listen to trance just as much.

I've seen about everybig trance dj's and i USED to like trance ...

I would, but personally I think trance is stronger than ever and only going up. Honeslty I think Technoaddict would do well, perhaps not on the same level as tranceaddict. But I do think these forums are more than just trance forums and that because its called trance addict doesn't mean its only for trance lovers.

I personally will never become a techno addict but do enjoy some every now and then, that goes for other genres as well.

Smitty, I thought you were cool beans before when we chatted in the Toronto room, but this is uncalled for...telling people to get the fuck off the board.

While people who don't like trance have no right to complain that there is a lot of discussion about trance on this board, they are certainly free to start discussions about other genres and let other people respond to them!

There aren't a lot of other sites similar to this - say, technoaddict.com - so people who like trance AND other genres tend to discuss those other genres on here as well because there is a lot of traffic on this board.

personnally, ive always been evolving in my music tastes and yes ive loved trance a lot its the first thing i listened to when i started going at some Rave parties and Tiesto Live @ trance energy 2000 is still for me the best trance set ive heard so far, BUT, i think trance is stuck into the same old pattern, its always the same sounds, and im fuckin tired of listening the old 99 trance....imo trance is the easy listening
on the other hand, techno is much more hard to love, and the construction of a techno tune isnt always the same just compare 2 songs of the same artist, Mauro Picotto, Bangkok & Hong Kong: when u dont know what is techno, its harder to feel the difference between 2 boom boom, but when u listen more to it those 2 tracks are just completly different, thats what i like about techno, there can be some uplifting parts, soft parts, and dirty kickin ass parts...
i just think the best peeps are the one who can appreciate everything which is NOT MY CASE
just for example, i like Firewall - Sincere but it reminds me a fully load of trance songs
i think that here in montreal, some of us have realized that trance is not the best music to party with, techno, prog or house is more danceable if can use this expression...
with my friends we like to say that prog & techno are much more intelligent grooves

i think whats said here is exactly what people who changed style think

when I started listening to techno music, it was all about trance....i couldnt listen to anything else....and le castrateur, who started becoming addicted a little before me...started listening to techno and i couldnt believe it.....he told me then that I would change my mind one day but I didnt want to....and after a long time....he was right!!
like he said, trance is "always" the same kind of beat
techno is much much much more intelligent, and its so better to dance on techno music!

erm i would not call any of them intelligent. i mean techno is mostly simple loops, progressive just weird effects here and there in the 15 minute song. and trance well, only the melody hehe :P but this is out of the topic :P

chu pas daccord...moi aussi jpense que le techno est plus *intelligent* ( meme si le mot est un peu fort ). Produire du trance est bien plus facile que de produire du techno. Le trance c pas assez subtile.
anyways chu daccord pour dire que MTL TAS RULEZ!!!!!

So I'm not "cool beans" in your books anymore? Read my other posts on here. I like house, prog, techno too (not nearly as much as trance). What pisses me off is the snobbish attitude that too many people have here towards Trance these days. Come on....it's very obvious. THAT is what angers me....not discussion of other genres.

heh? i can not answer you cause i do not understand or speak french :P but seems. but you kinda say its easier to make trance? i would not know since i havent produced. and well i have heard your tracks and you often say you did a track in one day. how hard is that then? i dont knwo wich one is harder to make, i think it's just what you like better. like i said we are going out of topic.
