Going ape over your own mix. . .
Any of u guys/ladies record a mix and after listening to it, you just went "HOLY FACK, I DID THAT?" but in a good way? My transition into Gus Gus - Purple (sasha vs the light) was definately hands up. yea, go me!
Hahah Several times.
It's a good feeling.

that's the reason why I started mixing in the first place!
I wanted mixtapes with all the tracks I love, at the speed I love.
I basically only made the mixes for my listening pleasure, and they were the only ones I would listen to for years. Back in '94, there were no mixes downloadable anywhere, you couldn't buy any, either. Except buying tapes directly off the DJ in the club, which was hell of expensive (paid 30$ for a Gary D tape). But that was cool, cause you were the only person who had this mix.
so, yeah, I regularily go ape over my mixes
I still have recordings from the first week I got my tables. I think, I'll never be able to make such horrible transitions again...
luckely that you sometimes hear very nite mixes of yourself. It's very stimulating to continue.
it seems i never get bored of my mix.
all my favorite songs are in it.
also good to hear how i'm doing wheather i do it bad or good
I do sometimes, especially songs that mix well together.
HELL YEA!!
....thats what makes it all worth it
now that I haven't played in a while....i go back and listen to some of my mixes and realize just how good i was
(i always thought that my mixes werent that good when mixin them initially)
I'm constantly throwing together mix CD's to put in my car, can't beat listening to all your favorite tunes on one CD. Beats the hell out of paying $15 for a compilation CD when you can make hundreds of CD's from a decent sized vinyl collection.

Indeed...it's an extremely motivating feeling.
Especially when an entire mix goes that well. I recently did one and it's easily the best I've done this year, minus some minor issues I encountered when trying to correct slightly mismatched beats. What's odd is that I don't even know half of the songs I used very well at all.
But thats the kind of feeling that inspires me to go further. Very motivational
Keep it up
hell yea i love it when that happens. sometimes my own mixes get me dancing if its on a good system
and plus, i figure if it can get me moving then other people might like it too, and i'm usually right.
