people in the TA jail

ok we all know a lot of people talk shit and get put in the TA jail. it might just even be one person. they can just make new names and come back on the site. maybe if we know its the same person (by tracing ip, which can be easily done by swamper), if these people keep coming back, try banning their ip address from entering the site. we dont need these people ruining the site with their garbage

I'm sure Swamper has already thought of this, but he probably doesn't have the time, or can be bothered doing it. Unless the person has a static IP (permanant IP sddress) it's going to be a little harder to ban someone.

oh ill be glad to help him out there. ill do wonders to their computer. they wont be able to access the internet, non-the-less acess tranceaddict.com. hmmm why would static be harder? if they have the same ip address then its always going to stay the same. that means when their ip address (which is always going to be the same) trys to access the site, it will be forbidden. people with dial up modems will be impossibile to ban because their ips change everytime they log onto the internet. but its easy to tell if they have static or not by the first 3 numbers in the ip address.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You are such a fucking joke!!!!

I read your other thread that said "you better pray you never bump into me", if I bumped into you I'd have the biggest laugh of my life kicking the shit out of you! You've just said you're aged 13, well buddy I'm 7 years older than you so I think it's pretty obvious who would win if I bumped into you:

Anyway TA Jail update:

DJ Juicy J 187
DJ James M
DJ Ben
DJ Kick
DJ Boss P
TheCDGuy
Brodie
Clubm@n
RollinhardO****
Treeum 1
Sirhumpalot
Comgun
h0eDiiiiiiiiger

Why isn't DJ James M (Trance God) in jail yet?

READ CAREFULLY!...lol I said UNLESS they had a static IP, it would be harder to ban a normal changing IP!

Very few ppl have the luxury of a static IP address

just about everyone who uses dial up to access the internet has a roving ip address
each and every time u dial up and log on your ISP gives u a new IP address, these are " leased " to u for that period u are online.

Cable and ADSL etc tend to use static IP addresses simply cos they assign a ip to the NIC ( network interface card ) thats installed inside your computer.
these can be changed too just release and renew in the winipconfig

so traceing or banning a user simply by their IP can be hard to do.
there are also IP hiding tools out there to mask an IP addy

there is however a way it can be done which is a bit illegal
well very illegal
would mean a little work and some hacking of sorts . . .
i wont go into any more detail
" plausable denyabilitie "

its not THAT hard. ive done it through napster when ppl have pissed me off. it would be a lot harder off a site though. a lot more hacking required since they arent making a direct connection with your computer (such as downloading a song from you)

Possible solution...

If you consider the following:

Most people who become TA's in Jail, are Lamers. A large portion of them are probably using their dad's AOL account.

Anyway, this implies that the following approach may work:

Simply send the offending members a cookie. (No, not a Chips Ahoy!).

Send a cookie that says they can't use TA anymore, and then check for such a cookie whenever a new user signs up If they have the cookie, then no access...

This is not a fool-proof solution, as cookies can be deleted, and even ignored, but as I said, most of the offending clowns are lamers, and wouldn't know how to delete a cookie... And the ones that think they're all clever, and do it through the IE settings (removing all cookies) will get his/her ass whipped by their dad for losing his pc-banking auto-sign in thingy-boo...

So yah, that's my simple IP-independant solution suggestion.
