Review : Infected Mushroom

First off it took me lots of begging to get to Aria last night but it payed off. OMG Infected Mushroom was one of the best sets I have ever heard! I never heard music like this before it is so energetic
I didnt see any TA's except for Malek, Zing and Ortemy! Where is everyone else?? I stayed behind the booth area the whole night because my pants where falling down for some freakin reason
By the way wat was that sik track Infected mushroom played? Ortemy you told me the name and so did Mazen but I forgot it.

have to agree, it was totally twisted.... I prefered their live set to the dj one though...

oh yeah, and a track listing would be appreciated

here's what Infected mushroom were using yesterday for their live show:

- Juno 106

- Clavia Nordlead 2

- Roland SH-101

- Mackie 1642 Pro Mixer

- Korg MS2000BR Sequencer

- Cubase vst 5.1

And some processor i will check later

PS: they played Prodigy - Voodoo People during their dj set

wow

That was my favorite tune off Music For The Gilted Generation

God I havent listened to that disc in ages which means its time to go play some Prodigy!!!

Posted by Dj Nacht on Aug-02-2003 23:54:

I remembered where I heard Prodigy from! The movie hackers

The first 'dance music' CD I ever bought was Music For The Gilted Generation in 1996. I'd totally freak if I ever heard anything off that album dropped in a club.

What the f##k was up with the line-up outside?? I waited in line for 3 f##king hours!!!! Was the staff on break, I mean this was no Tiesto, AVB, Ornadel night!!! I'm incredibely pissed, I showed up in front of Aria @ 2Am and got to pay for my entrance @ 5:15. I want an explanation for this and it better be good cause a lot of people were dissapointed last night. The music was INsane but you have to undersatnd that once I got inside I just wanted to go to bed!!

Posted by malek on Aug-03-2003 01:03:

wow this seriously sucks donkey balls!!! wtf!!!

Very cool show, loved every single minute of it.
The highlight of the night was track of Prodigy - Voodo People(Inf. Mushroom rmx).

Posted by Biggy on Aug-03-2003 01:24:

ravemeister,
9 people enter the club every minute.

How you want us to let enter people faster than this?
There is a search at the door, you have to pay for tickets and there is 3 different price. I think it's impossible to be faster than this. 9 people every minutes is 540 people every hours, it's almost impossible to have a line-up with more than 600 people so it's impossible to wait for 3 hours. By the way, last night was only 200 people less than Tisto night on June 13th.

Posted by ravemeister on Aug-03-2003 01:48:

The line would move about 1-2 feet every 20 minutes. People were getting tired of waiting at one point and that's pretty much what was making the line move. Another thing, as soon as I got through the doors, I had to wait another 15 minutes just to get to the cash. There was a bunch of security guards just standing there (like they were on break). I could not understand that. And the only reason I got in after 3 hours is because I saw a security guy outside that I knew and he let us in, otherwise it would have been another 30 minutes minimum. I'm a regular Aria addict and it's the first time that I had this happen to me. If you have a problem with ticket prices, you should have a separate entrance for the hip-hop room . And you say that there is going to be another room @ Aria, you better plan your stuff right not to have situations like these on a regular basis.

200 people less then Tiesto!
I didnt know Infected Mushroom was that popular
Now I know why I couldnt get into the middle of the dance floor

infected has a big fanbase, its just that they dont get to play here much. the fans were ready to explode since sona cancel their show in april. so they all showed up for aria , i dont even want to imagine the lineup astral projection would bring

yep, you're right... the crowd is also very diverse, there's a bunch of people that used to be into industrual music that are very much drawn to the newer blend of psytrance.. i wasn't there friday, (should of been), but i'm curious to find out how many of those types were there..
