Driver support for high end soundcards like the Waveterminal 192 or the Audiophile?

Do these cards have good driver support? I saw driver downlods on M-Audio's site, but that doesn't tell me if they are good or not. And I saw that the Waveterminal 192m supports the E-WDM driver? I don't know what that is. Since these cards are both similiarly priced, and I want one of them, any input here would be great.

What do you mean by driver support?

I'm sure they come with drivers. I have the audiophile and it comes with all the drivers you need, including Asio/Asio2 drivers. They are available on the website incase you lose the disc that the drivers are on and need to reinstall them.

I think he means the quality (stability, latency results) of the drivers. With pro soundcards, the reputation of that card stands or falls with the driver quality.

In that aspect I'd say M-audio are better. They are known to have huge stability, and get low latencies, although with one or two rogue programs they have problems (but again M-audio is known to fix this quite fast).
The E-WDM (enhanced WDM) is a very nice idea. They enhanced the regular WDM drivers to obtain low latencies. The basic idea is you can use one universal driver for all your applications (for example, for some apps you'll need ASIO, while others don't support it, so you need to switch over to other drivers like WDM, Sonar was that way not long ago). With E-WDM you can use that driver in all your progs and get great latencies (down to 2 ms).
But if you ask me, the quality of the m-audio cards are a tad better, and the E-WDM had some compatibility issues not long ago.

Between those two, go M-audio.

M-Audio drivers are top notch.
