Paul van Dyk-That's Life: Goose-Bumper!

I believe I first heard this track back in April at Roxy in NYC, and I remember that as soon as the melody came roaring in, it was instantaneous goose bumps for me...van Dyk put a little bit of his euphoric side into this gem (and Nature One has been one of his better sets as of late) Opinions about this new production?

it's getting released on the "Reflections" album!

Top tune! Can't wait for Reflections

Reflections is going to knock me on the floor and abuse me. It's going to be very graphic and sexually explicit. I'm certainly excited!

theres always one that thinks he'll try and be a comedian and crack this (not so funny) joke.

I dunno where everyone is getting the name "That's Life" from. Atm this is going down on my tracklists as PvD - Untitled, coz i am not convinced That's Life is the correct title. oh well. We shall see in October i guess.

I'm gonna have to agree with Mike on this one...How do we know that this is indeed "Thats Life"? A more fitting name IMO would be "Spellbound"..

Posted by torontotrance on Aug-05-2003 01:26:

That's Life is the production with Paul Van Dyk on the vocals. Mikey is right....wait till October because if it has no vocals...i doubt it's that's life. Remember that's life is pvd's vocal debute.

I really don't know why you guys BITCH and MOAN so much about PvD not releasing some of his work. For christ's sake, I know some of it is in good humor but this shit about WAAAHHH HES NEVER GUNNA RELEASE IT TILL 3487 is seriously retarded. The man works his ass off touring the globe and when he wants to put together a PROPER album (i.e. - one that hasn't been leaked my dickheads all over the net) you all start screaming. I guess all you whiners are so insecure in the fact that he has something you don't. Please, quit your whining and wait until October and your pain and suffering will be over and you'll have to find something else to complain about.

Really? Hmm, f0x called it as That's Life during the Nature One broadcast. So I guess it's a different track then?

I totally I agree with you. I don't know about other people on this site, but I would not have an interest in seeing Paul van Dyk if I could already name all of the tracks he is playing. When i go to see a DJ, I expect to hear amazing new music, because the secondary purpose of a DJ is exposing people to new music and making them like it, and the primary purpose being to make people dance. Remember what everyone was saying about Tiesto last summer? "I'm tired of hearing the same tunes and tracklists for 6 straight months!" There are a lot of hypocrites out there it seems.

i gotta agree with vmc. this tune and the rest make me want pvds new album soooo badly!

U serious PvD singing? Its gonna be dire

Posted by arturob on Aug-05-2003 13:13:

Paul alredy sampled his vocals in 2 tracks on seven ways so its not really the 'debut'

I somewhat agree with you in that part of the anticipation of seeing Paul live (or any dj/producer) is what he's going to surprise us with...remixes of recognized tracks, or just great new productions. But this is a music forum, and this includes speculating on upcoming tunes......but no matter what, I'll wait until I get my hands on Reflections to worry about what track is what....

It's definitely not 'Spellbound' ... that features Jan's vocals. Maybe it's 'Like A Friend' ...

EDIT: Sorry, I meant extremely funny and simply awe-inspiring piece of comic genius. That's made my day that has. I'll sleep better tonight!

hehe

vot set was this heard on?

=)

Posted by Choobak on Aug-05-2003 16:48:

I really don't like this one at all... the synths kill me with their cheesyness... I don't know how he could go from Out There and Back to this... it's very generic sounding uplifting trance if you ask me....

I just hope it's not really a PvD production although those hihats and claps kind of give it away...
