What ever happened to . . . .

What happened to producers like

Tilt
Space Brothers
Olmec Heads
AmoebaAssasain
Binary Finary
Mara
Man With No Name
Art of Trance

These guys were absolute brilliant producers? What ever happened to em?

Posted by Psygnosis on Aug-05-2003 07:51:

Man With No Name and Space Brothers i'm sure made some more songs for 2003, sorry forgot the names...

Posted by JayKuE on Aug-05-2003 08:15:

man with no name hasn't produced anything for a number of years now
however he is returning to the scene with a new album on its way, should be awsome!

I remember reading on i:vibes that Olmec heads have recently remixed a new Hemstock and jennings track, I think it might be "Zulu" but I'm not 100%.

They're called, "one hit wonders" (or in some cases, "two hit wonders" ).

Posted by Sid on Aug-05-2003 10:37:

hmmm...Man with no name and Space brothers are definately not one hit wonders, they produced alot of quality back in the day !

Tilt released their Left of Centre EP. Binary Finary's label got angry and dropped them after they sent in 2003 for release. BF then went on to explain how 2003 is like nothing they've ever heard before. Space Brothers went inward on themselves after being shown the light of choof, Barry Gilby from Mara moved to Greece to start up an olive farm with G-Pal leaving Sarah Whittaker-Gilbey with no one to produce tunes with. Man With No Name is comin out with new shit soon after taking a long service leave from his teaching position at a school in Israel. Olmec Heads put out a track 'Replicator' this year, that being his only work of 2003 that i know of. AmoebaAssasin hasn't put out anythin this year, neither has Andy Gray whos the mastermind of it as far as I know.

Ciao.

WTF, I think it's time for Binary Finary's final weapon for the label, the .

I hate labels that do this.

Piledriver & Rollercoaster are damn good!

Posted by Philby on Aug-05-2003 14:16:

i've also read that man with no name is making a new album, i think a new track was on one of the j00f radio shows. olmec heads i think made a track this year under a different name, ronin i think.

Posted by jizza on Aug-05-2003 14:33:

Posted by Renegade on Aug-06-2003 03:13:

Mara are still churning them out. Check out Lovesong and their remix of Attica - Cyber Girl for their most recent releases.

good old google. I found this on gnoosic forums

Hiya All -

A little news flash...

'Binary Finary' - has pretty much dissolved and is slowly inching it's way towards the courts - so not much chance of anything sensible happening under the name of 'Binary Finary' -

But.

The music still lives on, and some rare demos can be found on WINMX - just search for 'binary finary demos' and you might be lucky to fond some people sharing them - (there are about 8 or so in total)

As for releases, this cannot be confirmed because of the amount of internet piracy making music a non-profit vocation - (and musicians need to eat as well...)

But.

As if that would stop 'Binary Finary' - So there is a plan for releases, and lots of them - but probably not under the name of 'Binary Finary', but under my own name - Matt Laws.

Some of the first releases will be through the music software scene - (check out proppellerheads 'REASON' software.

I will be donating sounds and setups through that software as time goes on.

All the tracks could be availible for musicians to play with - (in REASON format)

So, theres a bit of news.

Have fun all you nutterz!

Rowan DJs now, dabbling in the odd Breeder production every now n then.

Space Brothers have been releasing music.
Under their own name the most recent track I know of is 'One more chance'. Heard that played in a club for the first time last Sunday.
Under other guises, most recent I know of is 'Oxygen feat Andrea Britton - Am I on your mind' and 'Chakra - Doors'.

Posted by OzTisto on Aug-10-2003 04:17:

Space Brothers = Chakra = Oxygen = Force Majeure = The Realm = Essnce = Lustral

Posted by Psygnosis on Aug-10-2003 04:55:
