Unity vs The Host of Seraphim (Trance Mix)
A new track based off of Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim (and Orkidea - Unity, by association) has been floating around (It was played by Tiesto at GKGG and by Ferry on his World Tour radio show), but I have a different question:
Once and for all, is there really any such thing as Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim (Trance Mix) or is this just a massive case of Orkidea - Unity being mislabeled? I thought there was a difference, but in snooping around some mp3s there doesn't seem to be.
Also, what remixes of Unity exist, if any?
Finally, does anyone have a clue what the new track is? A remix of Unity? A different production entirely?
i have the original and the trance remix of "host of seraphim"

its a massive case of mislabelling...
The one tiesto played at Global Gathering sounds a tad different to the trance remix your talking about, maybe a tiesto remix is on the horizon?
This is a mislabel as far as I know.Trance Mix = Unity.
so the tune played by tiesto is still un-ided?? cause the tune is massive!
i;ve heard both versions and i'm pretty sure that they are the same...
Yes, they're both the same. The one titled "Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim (Trance Mix)" is just faded out at the end.
ACTUALLY, straight from the horses mouth so to speak, after speaking with a collaborator of Hemstock & Jennings and also head honcho @ Euphoria, this track = Merge vs. Adam White - Reverence.
It does sample Dead Can Dance, but then so did Unity and Fiji for that matter.
i;ve been told only a number of jocks have it at the moment.. Tiesto, Jules, John 'OO' etc...

so..which one is the true?
the trance remix is also known as the paul oakenfold remix
its just the reverence tune.
Dead Can Dance - The Host Of Seraphim is the original
Dead Can Dance - The Host Of Seraphim (Trance remix) is Orkidea - Unity
The latest track to use the host of seraphim samples is
Hemstock & Jennings Vs Adam White - Reverence
in Adam White's own words . . .
'This track is inspired by a song by Dead Can Dance called "Host of Seraphim".
I've always wanted to produce a track with a great vocal like this.
I had the idea for ages and took it to Les & Chris, the rest is history.
It's seen huge support from Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren and has become a very in-demand track.'
Yep, finally figured this one out some time back, but forgot to update this thread.
I think I prefer Reverence to Unity, but it's close.
arf

hmm i see new age/synth pop songs being remixed into trance.. normally it will only had the tag (Trance Mix) on it. Y do people wanna hide their identity on which its their own remixes?
