Problems with DMF...

Hey dudes from the England/Scotland/Ireland/Whatever forum!

I have some questions for you guys. About 3 weeks ago I ordered some records @ dance music finder. (http://www.dmf.co.uk) They promised me I would recieve the records within 5 working days. I phoned them (again!) today and they told me that the records are on their way but that there are some problems @ the post office. I find this all very strange.

Looking @ the above I thought, let's contact the dudes from the England forum, maybe they can help...

So, my questions to you are:

a) Is DMF a reliable place to order your records? (bitt lite to ask but I still wonder)
b) Are there any problems in the postal delivery service in the UK?
c) Did anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you fix it?

a) No there are not reliable. In fact they are the shittest online record store i hav ever come across.
b) Our postal service isnt exactly the best in the world, but there's nothing really wrong with it.
c) I once ordered something that was out of stock, and they charged me for it. I still havnt gotten a refund yet


Stick to www.chemical-records.co.uk and www.juno.co.uk They are the best.

htfr and dmf are the ones to miss. was ur order big btw? when u shop with a new store for the first time u shud order a really small order, so if they fuck u over, u dont lose to much money, and u no not to shop with them again.

every dance forum i have come across (oldskool rave, happy hardcore, D&B etc) have made SERIOUS complaints & threats aginst DMF....too many to mention.

another one to stay well clear is HARD TO FIND RECORDS. once again tunes not turning up, bootlegs etc etc..

i ordered the M ep about xmas, aint seen it yet, and if they take my money without any end product, well lets just say, that'll prolly be the last money they ever take

So any idea's what I can do to get my records or my money back?

They say it's a problem @ the post office, I've told them to fix it cause it's not my f*cking problem.

Besides, when your order is in trouble @ least they could mail/phone/fax me? (Cheeky bastards )

Well, sadly when they say 'problems with the post office' it basicaly means theyve got your money and wont send the tune. sad but true.

Ive actualy heard phone conversations where the the people at DMF have slammed the phone down mid conversation. They are hated by a lot of people. The problem is that no one seems to be bothered to do anything about it..

I dont know much about the law but I would see if i could get them in court or something. could be expensive, maybe not tho. theyve had all sorts of threat letters but of course, DMF dont take it seriously as non of those letters actualy lead on going to court etc.

the other option would be to send someone down there to sort things the 'old fashioned way'...ie - give em a good kicking.

Hmm if that's the truth invisible man, than I feel more screwed over then I already thought I was. Simple fact is that I can't go to the UK to kick their arses so there must be some other way. Can't some of you guys go down there and kick them for me?

Seriously, isn't there like some company or institution that you can ring to tell them your complaint? I mean, these people are just a bunch of screw overs who need to be punished!

Just got off the phone with DMF. It seems like I misspelled my adress. Could be true, I am a horrible speller when it comes to English. Mailed the guy from the sales personally with my correct adres. I'll just have to wait and see...

likes you said, could be true or a distraction tactic, either way i hope you get your record and have learned to only use juno of chemical for your orders

DMF are a bag of shite!

Just got my records in today. Well records, some of them... I ordered 10 records, I got 3 (!). Everything else was sold out or limited stock. Blegh, you were all right they are complete bastards

Thanks for the help, i've learned my lesson....

Now I have to search elsewhere for my records
Maybe some of you guys know where to find them.
