What's happening to our world, it's incredibly hot here.

Never been so warm as this year, 36 degrees and over here in Belgium.
Never happened here for such a long time, best summer ever.
Is the world coming to his end? LOL.

i heard about a heat wave in europe.
i'd say global warming, but they say that global warming will probably cause an ice age in europe so i guess that isnt it. maybe you are just lucky. it wont stop raining here.

It's cooking over here also, like a stunning 40 degrees with humidity, yikes!!

In the past few years we get to have a lot of mild winters and very warm summers... most certainly caused by all the pollution and stuff like the "rchauffement de la plante" .. dunno how to say that in english, sorry

Posted by arj1o1 on Aug-06-2003 15:53:

i hope it's the same weather when i'm on vacation in about nine days

Literally Translated: Heating of the Planet

Properly Translated: Global Warming

hottest summer in 100 years in Austria, too.
mmmmm summer

Posted by torontotrance on Aug-06-2003 16:22:

we hit 40C+ for 6 days in july..pathetic imo

cuz we just suffered one of the coldest winters in recent memory

we get the best of both worlds i guess.

My room is right under the (black) roof and the all time record here was 46 degrees, I haven't checked for a long time, but chances are high that it's been hotter the past few days. To think that there are other countries out there that have 39 (edit: I think it was actually 49, but that would be ALOT ) now in the shadow! (I think it was greece or italy or something). That's just plain lethal man

Speaking of which kind of offtopic,
but during AvB's set at DV some guy with a phone that can measure temperatures of things took my body temp and it was 36!! all because of Armin, pretty crazy huh???

I'm dying here without an AC, seriously!!! :S

I don't know, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm living in England. It rains all the time here now, we've been under a flood watch for like the past month and a half. We're also on our way to set a record for the most rainy weekends in a year

Posted by TOR on Aug-06-2003 18:25:

they recorded 53C in Sevilla a few days ago

for tomorrow they predict a maximum of 40C here in Belgium, that's never happened since the beginning of recordings..

Global Warming is a complete media myth. The sun has an 80 year cycle where it burns hotter and shines brighter than normal, obviously heating the earth more. Over the last 5 or so years we have been at the very peak of that cycle. Remember, in the mid 60's or so near the low end of that cycle, the whole rage was "Global Cooling."

Nature is so incredibly complex anyways, and we have only been keeping accurate records for ~130 or so years, so its safe to assume we know pretty much jack about how it can work.

All that we know for sure is that the world is going to hell, and people don't give a rat's ass, so we will just be getting there a little faster.

Oh, and here in Toronto...the summer has been shit. Barely any sun, barely any good ol' summer heat. Something is definitely happening. Our last winter wasn't as cold as it should have been. The seasons seem to be reversing.

Very crazy, especially if you acknowledge the fact that human body temperature when normal is 36.6C...
