Nu-NRG@ARC 8.23 - Dinner Meeting

hi all,

would anyone interested in having a dinner meet-up? I talked with Edgar and we are really interesting in doing something. Talked to Victor too and he will joining us as well. Now I just need to talk with pamdjs and see if they can get Andrea and Giuseppe to come. If they can, cool, if not, still be cool.

Please let me know some places as I have NO clue and I will try to organize something for that night. (suggestion of places close to the venue)

all the best,

arturo

i dont know if i can go to a dinner yet but i will think of some ideas today.

this will be a pretty big meetup...personally i'd think it should happen early in the night so people dont go straight over there with full stomachs....maybe 8pm? as for location im sure alot of people can suggest some things

I know of a very cool lounge / bar 3 blocks west of arc. I don' know the name of it but I can find out.

Posted by beema on Aug-06-2003 17:22:

I'm down for it!
nowhere too expensive tho, please...

Posted by QuickStep on Aug-06-2003 17:38:

Wow, that would be great!

I'm with beema, not too expensive. But some place nice at least, since we get Edgar V, Victor, Andrea and Giuseppe. Definitely down for dinner with everyone.

Get us hyped for Thurs.

The TriBeCa area is riddled with expensive restaurants. So I suggest somewhere around the Chinatown/Village area. Anyone up for some good dim sum b4 Nu Nrg??

I'm up for a dinner/meetup.. i dont know anything about the NY layout tho. And i gotta figure out when im coming up (either fri or sat night), but once i get up there ill def. be up for whatever

Do you guys actually want to eat or just hang out.. if you actually want to have dinner, than I think its not that good of an idea for a TA meet up since about 30 of us will invade the restuarant. Thats unless, maybe, you call the restuarant in advance and see if they can handle it.

As for a place to eat... I will keep you guys posted, Im gonna go searching right now.

I think we should eat, but definitely have some early warning for them. Call and confirm that they can handle that many people. If this pulls off, it will be great exposure for our community.

maybe the next track will be: Nu-NRG - trancEaddict

ahhaha

when I met them in London they didn't speak a single word of english. They just smiled and did their thing. They finished up, packed their stuff and I got 2 quick picutres with them by basically pointing at my camera then at them and then at myself and Ekstasis lol. They understood that, but thats about it hehe

then i think an italian place to eat needs to be picked...
someone that works there is bound to speak it.

Finding an italian eatery in NYC is the least of our problems, the main concern is to figure out how to communicate with them. The whole point of inviting them to dinner with us, is to talk with them, see whats new, etc...

my point was that an ITALIAN place is bound to have someone there that speaks ITALIAN. it was a stupid joke, hence the . i guess it flew over your head.

Posted by Vlad on Aug-07-2003 03:49:

It was so obvious, I think it went a mile over my head.

That and I figured you meant it as in, an italian place would be the only place it would make sense to eat at with them since thats all they speak. I didnt think you meant it as in we would find a translator there.
