For those of you that don't know, I recently recieved an email from 7pm management. Apparently Darren Tate has heard my remix of 'Let the Light Shine in' and likes it & Wants me to send him a demo CD of my work !
More to the point, Darren has just signed this track by Mono (Aka Airbase) to his label and was looking for some spec remix's.
So he's asked me
Now whether this gets released or not depends on if the label think my remix is good enough for the vinyl (fingers crossed) so there's nothing definate yet. But I've recieved the remix pack (Including a full copy of the original track ) and started my remix.

Now I know I may not be allowed to post the full mix on here when it's finished but, heres what I have so far.
Bear in mind that its only 96kbps and unmastered so cut me some slack on the sound level.

first of all, congratulations! it doesn't happen very often that somebody that well-known contacts an artist himself..

as for the remix, it sounds pretty good.. hard to feel its real power as it's lofi, but i can tell that i love those strings you added!

Remix sounds pretty fine. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the original, but you did a great job so far. Let us know when it's done (probably lofi once more hehe).

same here.. although the main lead in cyan dawn could be a little more prominent.. if it is, it'd make a worthy release!

I don't really like the perc, especially that kinda rev cymbal (you know, the one used before the main beat kicks in). But that might be because it's lo-fi. It's a good build up, and I like the synths.

As for the track it sounds really good, the only thing i would say is the lead that comes in @ about 45secs sounds a little thin and sharp but thats just my 2cents Apart from that it is MINT!!!!

Yeah, I spoke to Jezper (Airbase) on the hub the next day after speaking to U, and confirmed it

well bren, gotta tell ya i pretty much follow some fellows productions in here but you've done way better friend, synth is much like C-Dawn, otherwise its similar to the original too much for me to be a remix, but the production is good, no speak of that. I hope they like it and that you get signed to Darren's label

this is good stuff! couple of gripes tho: 1. sounds a bit samey to the original tbh... maybe do something a bit different with it? 2. the main lead doesnt sound too great sound wise... ok its 96kbps its hard to tell

no complaints and the power of the track is massive,try puttin some syn plucks every 8 beats wit a 12 step delay....i dunno it sounded good in my head haha :P
