Homegrown will host it's first trance night on August 19th. It's on Tuesday night beginning at 8 and it's free with no dress code...

Hailing from Charlotte, NC, Elliott Walker began DJing in early 1999 on a whim, when he decided to get his first pair of turntables. But it wasn�t until he heard the classic Ti�sto CD, �Live from Innercity,� that he found his true calling, trance music. Elliott immediately fell in love with the Dutch trance sound.
Elliott�s passion for trance music led him to relocate to New York City in 2002, where he began an internship at Ultra Records. A few months later he joined he label permanently and currently works at Ultra as Publicist and Assistant Product Manager. Living in New York and working at a label has clearly had an influence on his musical tastes. In addition to the euphoric trance that he started with, Elliott now enjoys playing a variety of sounds, from house to breaks to techno to trance. With a wide variety of upfront tunes passing through the Ultra office, Elliott�s sets are always full of fresh tracks that are bound to make you dance.

Homegrown is a free weekly showcase of NYC�s local up-and-coming DJ talent. Our sole purpose is to support New York City's thriving DJ scene. No attitudes. No discrimination based on experience. Simply an intimate setting where bedroom DJs get a shot at the spotlight and music heads get a chance to hear the unheard.
Every week all the DJs sets are recorded and then broadcasted on the web at www.metromixradio.com. Open call to DJs: come down and submit your demos for an opportunity to spin in the future. Four 60-minute slots are available each week to be filled by up-and-comers and bedroom DJs alike, not to mention some very special guests. Come out to support your local talent and have a good time.

This sounds like a fun time... support NYC's up and coming DJ talent! I (aron) should make it (5'9", caucasian, brown hair, skinny, blue eyes), and my friend who is new to TA (drur2evil [mike]) is also coming(5"6, caucasian, shaved head). If any TA's show up tonight, come by and introduce yourselves! We don't know anyone in NYC :P

Twas a great time
Too bad I got tied up with stuff, and got on a slow-ass subway train, and missed seeing both of the girls spin
definitely an enjoyable night..Roxxia ripped it...sorry i missed Shurik's set..i had work in the morning...
my apologies to mike as well...youll definitely make up for it on friday night
