-- Ratty - Sunrise vocalist?

Question Ratty - Sunrise vocalist?

I've been looking up all the various covers of Tim Buckley's Song to the Siren from over the years, but cannot find the version used in Sunrise. It's not from This Mortal Coil, or any other female cover I can find.

The sonorous depth of the vocals in Sunrise make Tracy Carmen's effort in Lost Witness - Did I Dream a total snoozer by comparison.

Please help me find who sang these vocals!

(Disclaimer: NO flaming. I've quite aware of Ratty's dirty past. That's not in question here.)

That's the vocalist for Barraka - Song to the Siren, but I'm almost certain she's not the one in Sunrise, even with studio tweaking.

Trust me, you don't want to know.

(well, if you really want to know, go searching. You're not going to like what you find.)

angelick, ratty = scooter (as in scooter, the cheesy "techno" group that pollutes the airwaves with really cheesy music)

pointless fact, the original song is being used on the new version of texas chainsaw massacre. probably not so pointless... check out the soundtrack to it, the name will prolly be on there

Too bad it isn't a chipmunk voice tho, it really is a woman's voice

On the single I have there's no info. It just says "All rights of the producer and owner of the record work reserved".

Lost Witness feat Tracy Carmen - Did I Dream (Song To The Siren)
Barraka feat Claire Pearce - Song To The Siren
Ratty feat ??- Sunrise (Here I Am)
Vengeance feat ?? - Song To The Siren

i know that there has always been confusion with this song, but i don't know who did the vocals for the ratty and vengeance tunes maybe tracy carmen i don't know

On the video for 'Sunrise' its a boy singing the vocals, not a woman - which erm, is odd.

full credits for Sunrise (Here I Am)

minus the vocalist, its like they never existed!

check here for all the cd/vinyl covers - no mention of the vocalist ANYWHERE though!
