BMW Skateboard ....

WTF ???
whoa looks hype to me .. i wonder if this comes with one of those 500 series engines ..
This has been out for a few years.....
The concept (or so the BMW brand managers was) to show how BMW has superior design/function capabilities, even with something as simple as a skateboard. The marketing guys thought that the consumer would think "wow, if bmw can do that to a skateboard, think what they can do with a car!!". (BTW the above info is taken from some article I saw in ad age).
Man, marketing people crack me up..
lol this is pretty funny but i agree pretty hype. As it seems it's not for skills or anything just a smooth ride and carving...

id learn to skateboared just to be able to use that,
that is tighttttttt,
Check out the rims.
haha, its great
hehe...i dont think its just a marketing hype. While most people fall for bmws for the name, few know that their suspensions are the big part of their success if not the biggest...the unique balance of comfort and sportiness...the precise in-control feel
If you look closely its got the stretched wheelbase for ride quality and even a diagnal stretch. The borrowed arm and bushings from the 5series and its application on a SKATEBOARD?? it would amuse any engineer or engineer wannabe
If i had a 12year old kid guess what he'd be gettin for his bday??
Retardly stupid!
Let's see someone do a ...
Switch 360 flip, to K Grind, to fakie on handrail on that thing.
well they aren't exactly drift machines either...the real things...
its designed with comfort and high speed handling i'm guessin..

guys guys guys..
this thing is not designed to do tricks...
it's designed to go fast... very fast. and i mean really really fast without becoming unstable.
as nismo mentioned, look at the wheelbase. that's enough tire to make u a Schaumauker (sp) on a board. Also the wide design makes it easier to hug the curves as well as the unique angle of the nose makes it easier to stay on and that also increases the rider's saftey.
i can't wait till they have a street luge design.
