i got in a car accident yesterday

and it SUCKED!!

as far as car accidents go, it wasnt so bad. i rear ended this lady on rt 1 because i am an idiot. my car is fine but there is a dent in her bumper. i think it was an altima. it was totally my fault. we pulled over and exchanged information and went on our ways. the whole thing took maybe 10 minutes and we didnt even hold up traffic. i told her to call me with an estimate. i think i am going to pay it out of pocket because i have way too many points on my insurance already. it sucks cause money is tight right now. she seems cool about it but shaken. i felt really really bad cause she had a baby in the car.

Crap, thats happened to me twice, first time it was cool, though I bumped into a Lexus, thankfully, for that car been, nothing happened to it, and the good part, the girl driving the lexus didnt even have an insurance, so she didnt bother, she was scared like hell though.

THe second time, my car slipped, so peeps, drive with distance when floor is wet.. my car slipped and bumped into a hundai, just a very minor bump, unoticeable, and the stupid lady asked for a friking report.. even the police officer told me that if it was him, he wouldnt have written a report.. but w/e. anyways, yes it sucks, but lucky you that you bumped onto an old lady like that, most of them call Police and your done.

i live in NJ and if we go through the official stuff like that her insurance goes up as well. regardless of whose fault it is.

Omg you live in jersey? DO NOT let her go through insurance. Tell her to get an estimate and pay out of your own pocket.

VW sucks! i have had 2 and their customer service sucks. sorry had to say that!

I feel ya butterfly. Route 1 is a hellhole. actually, any street in jersey is a hellhole. I was driving in Elizabeth (union county) the other day, and the 2 lane streets there mysteriously turn into four lanes....go figure.

i have the upper hand because we didnt file a police report. if she says she needs medical then i'll go through insurance.

yeah rt 1 is a nasty mess but it is still better than the turnpike approach. besides, if you have ever seen the roads in puerto rico, you woulndt complain about any highway in this country.

well, it could have been a lot worse, so be thankful that nobody was hurt. The woman was pretty cool about it too, so chill out, relax, and turn that frown upside down because you got away easy!

just a sidenote to everyone...if you ever get in an accident and the other person is at fault make sure that a ticket is issued because technically the other insurance company doesn't have to pay shit if one hasn't been issued...

the reason ppl avoid doing that in new jersey is because if you get hit and you go through insurance, BOTH drivers get fucked. that is why so many insurance companies wont support new jersey.
