What a night. 11 out of 10.

I haven't had a chance to listen to my vinyl yet. I am planning on getting to it in the next couple of days since I am at work and have been here since 8:15 AM. So once I get home I'm going straight to sleep. It was great partying with all the Calgary TAs. I hope to see you guys again soon.

Oh yeah, for those who are wondering, he gave me DJ Danjo and Rob Styles - Aragon. I can't wait to hear it. I have listened to it on the Jon O Bir section of ASOT 100.

Posted by physe on Aug-08-2003 15:35:

I don't know who's up for this but I'll start a tracklist and you guys just add to it if you want to.

He played for sure:

Coast to Coast - Searching
POS - Remember
Mr. Sam vs. Fred Baker Present as One - Forever Waiting
Gabriel & Dresden present Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes (Armin mix)
Push - Strange World (2000 remake)
The Matrix - Red Pill, Blue Pill (Junkie XL mix)
Dave Gahan - Dirty Sticky Floors (unsure of which mix)
Pulser - My Religion

a version of Binary Finary - 1998 (sounded like the PvD mix to me)
a version of Coldplay - Clocks (this was later on in the set)

He came on stage when a version of Coldplay - Clocks was playing, I don't know whether that counts as part of his set or not.

I'll post more if any of them come to me.

Wasn't he playing Signum - Push Through when the sound kind of cut out on him? :/

Posted by rtmcq on Aug-08-2003 17:50:

Van-city you are in for one hell of a night.....As for last night, you know its a good night when Armin is Dj-ing with your cowboy hat on, then signs your records and give you a record!!!!!!! Sorry Vancouver but you will not be hearing vincent de more - nexus asia casue Armin gave me it!!!!

un freakin believeable!!!!!

Wish I was in vancouver!

Posted by BryZe on Aug-08-2003 19:34:

That was the best time of my life...being with great friends and listening to amazing music. I think the only thing that would top this night would be seeing Armin again in Vancouver.

I've only had 3-4 hours of sleep and if I get pulled over by the cops I would be considered IMPARIED.

It could have been the Ronski Speed Mix, I havent heard that one before.

Posted by Thierry on Aug-09-2003 01:25:

OK, well I got home at 11 this morning so I had it right off.. still a bit incoherent... what can I say? This is why Armin is better than Tiesto in my mind. He played all 3 tunes I wanted him to (My Religion, Rise and Flakes) and he actually remembered me from Ibiza last year. Anywayz, yeah it was the Ronski Speed remix of Binary Finary and he started with the Solar Stone Vs. David Gahan - Dirty Sticky Floors (with the Solarcoaster vocals over them). Quality. Armin, if you see this, dinner at Coastline on me next year!

Great meeting the whole lot of you: Bryze, Physe, Vanilla, J Spot and Miranda Panda... I might have missed one or two in there also, so please forgive me. See you all at Sasha!!!

Terry

wow hardly any trance dj's play the classics anymore.. well except ferry corsten who needs to be brought to alberta ASAP!!

Posted by j_spot on Aug-09-2003 03:07:

he didnt just play strange world, it was the last song of the night

he played C:/del*.mp3 as well as Marco V remix of clocks and an unknown remix of clocks(white lable or something ask Vanilla
played seduction
and he came onstage during PVD nothing but you, not clocks.

So far as I can tell, the TAs there were
myself
Vanilla
Miranda Panda
Banana Peel
Adrian
Bryze
Cravetherave
sweds
DJ MD
Physe
rtmcq

maybe more
it was great
not as good as a month ago...just a notch under.(maybe my preference of crowds, tracks, clubs etc) fucking great either way.

Dont quote me on that clocks remix, all I know is that song was fucking sick. I made the TUNE! sign for a song like that. The main melody sounded like a cross between the piano of clocks and the theme from the halloween movies. That song killed me.
Anyway, I scanned through Jasons pictures on the way back and pretty much every picture of me, excluding the denny's pics (keeping the tradition alive) has me with my hands in the air. That's a pretty good depiction of the night. It and ya it wasn't quite at the level that cowboys was last month, but I think that's because of the edmonton crowd. Where was everybody?!?!
Got some good "going away presents" to remember the trip by. Jason borrowed a poster and got it signed by Armin who's not quite sure if it's Jam trance, or Jaah trance. I got my TA shirt signed nice and big, and also brought home the drink that Armin gave me....out of many lol it got to the point where I I felt like I was stealing booze from him.
Anyway, had a great time. It was awesome meeting all the Edmonton TA's, and cant wait till you come down so we can show you how we party Calgary style.
