FF 7 weapons

hey guys i am fighting the last two weapons. right now i pretty mush last the whole 20 minutes with the under water one.
the red one which is supposed to be easier is kicking my ass left and right. does he have any weaknesses at all.

good luck with beating them, i never got past the emerald and ruby weapons.

all i have to say is use knights of the round like crazy!

I've beat them both. And you really need Knights of the round on master. And you need Final Attack with Phoenix flame. Otherwise you can't beat them.

it was very easy, i forgot how i did it,but there are guides out there.. gamefaqs.com ? anyway you need mime or you cant do anything, you also need knights of the round, and your Hp needs to be 9999 just get lots of HP plus's

read the guides they help a shizload

Everbody gots MiMe, but still it's not easy! It was not easy to get the golden chocobo en get KotR on master and the Weapons are HARD! There are always people who say it is easy but if you asks them about it they don't know anything. So don't say it was easy because it is not EASY!!!!!!

FF7's weapons are just like Gondel Sun's Guardians, Star Ocean 2's Iselia Queen (The Hardest game boss ever!) and so many other nearly impossible (and damn cool) bosses to test your skills.

They are not easy to figure out the strategy, but once u know it exactly, it can be easy (i mean, u can kill them anytime without dying).
there are a bunch of equipment/materia combos, especial procedures and cautions that will lead u to sure victory.
Lenghty process to write down here, but as haunted said, gamefaqs hav guides for it.
The real challenge in not the weapons, but getting the needed stuff and levels (and knowledge, if u dont look at the guides) for beating, them. Once u aquire everything, and know what u are doing, they are no problem.

When u can handle them easily, theres a cool game shark code for making them appear as normal enemies ramdonly sometimes, THATs a challenge, lol!!

Ok, so i got some free time here, so if u want a really stupidly easy way to beat them both, read it, if u dont want to spoil the fun, skip it:

Things u need for sure:
-> Ribbon (so u are imune to Ruby's bad status)
-> High magic power for the Nights Of The Round
-> Knights of The Round at high level combined with Blue Materia "HP Absorb"
-> Blue Materia "Command Counter" combined with Yellow Materia "Mime" (both at master levels).
-> 9999Hp and high defense. Also, equipment that gives u very high magic evade (dont remember well, but i think its called Minerva or such), so u evades most of the Ruby's Meteor hits.

Things that can help:
-> Another Knights Of The Round (or a Master Summon Materia) Combined with Blue Materia "MP Absorb" and/or MP Turbo (if u hav all, u will be nearly invincible)
-> Phoenix combined with Final Attack (Master Levels), just in case u die...
-> Enemy Skill "Big Guard"
-> W-Summon

Now, at the start of the fight, Put a member to cast Big Guard and kill them imediataly so they never spoils the Mime combo.
Then, cast a Knights Of The Round, and dont make any more moves, just watch the weapons killing itself (for anything that he does to u, cloud will mime the knight of the round as a counter, regaining 9999 HP all the time.

The only thing that could maybe kill u is a really baaad luck, or Emerald's Aire Tyre Dam attack, but this one damages u based on the materia u hav equiped, so, only use the necessary, nothing more, and it shoudnt give u enough damage to kill u (or stick to the Phoenix + Final Attack combo).

Now u are the weapon for them, have fun kicking their butts

i used the whole.. HP-Absorb with Mime and KOTR technique worked very well.
i also had W-Summon and linked with W-Summonw as some thing that made it cast 4 times. quadra magic? i dunno its beeen a while.

so basically it cast Hades like 3 times then it cast KOTR and hades puts all these different abnormalities like poison and stuff on the weapons, and sicne you have HP Absorb linked everytime you cast it,you gain HP,and you have the 2nd person Mime it. I always killed the third person BEFORE i entered battle with Ruby.. with Emerald i had 3 but 1 always died :\

im really late on this, but just wanted to point out that www.gamefaqs.com always has ANYTHING you need for strategies for any game. boss faqs, item charts, sidequest walkthroughs, the works ^_^

I always used the Knights/Mimic tactic for Emmy, with final attack + phoenix for insurance. I forget how to get ruby. My friend actually beat Emmy with final attack + phoenix, cloud smacking away with his ultimate sword and 4x attack (which, when cloud is at full health, does 40,000 damage a hit), while everyone else spammed exlirs and full heals and shit everywhere. If you keep cloud at full life (the damage of the sword is dependent on clouds life), you can dish out Knight's damage in 3 turns. If cloud starts go down, you can fall back to a knights + mimic strategy. This works especially well to finish him off before he can finish you off. It also helps to go fight in a high level dungeon and get everyone right up to their limit break, save before fighting Emmy, and fight him. Having everyone drop their lvl 3's helps a bundle too.

after defeating the underwater one the ruby is pretty much a little bitch. took me no time or effort at all. once you beat the underwater one you get Master Summon, Master Yellow orbs, and Master Magic therefore i made Ruby my play toy. thanks to those who posted.

Oh... My... God..!

I remember the 'Weapons' in FF7. Must have been the only person to find Ruby easier to beat than Emerald. What a weirdo...

If you think Iselia Queen is hard, you should try fighting Indalecio with his Limiter removed... I can't beat Iselia Queen either, so don't worry!

Oh, I heard Hades actually works fairly decently on Ruby...

Posted by NicklessGuy on Sep-19-2003 06:12:

I managed to beat Indalecio with limiter off with some patience in control of Dias with bunny-shoes equipped, mashing the R2 button to dish non-stop max-level air slashs that kept Indalecio from acting (even if he defended them all), so it made easy for Claude and Ashton to wipe away his life with combos... Hard, but acceptable

But that damn Iselia Queen took me more than a week of hard work!! I had all best equipment, with all the best combinations and chained combo abilities that rips thousands of hp in seconds, level 250, levantine sword, bunny-shoes and every bit of the best equipments, almost invincible to anything, i even though it would be easy, and even so, took me more than 30 tries to beat that bitch! And when i did, it was more than 1 hour of very hard and tiresome battle!

Never had such a challange again on any other rpg, and i played a lot of hard ones...
She makes weapons look like funny puppies, lol
